Of course! Why would anyone say anything remotely positive about MS!!!

They are moving the forums to Halo Waypoint. Multi-player is still available via Xbox Live.

Only stat-tracking will be discontinued. Although, I'm disheartened by MS decision to do this I can understand that keeping staff to maintain and update the site is costly and diverts attention away from other projects.

I haven't gotten around to play Halo Wars much yet, so is saddened to see the features gone missing.

We have heard the same story over and over, this exclusive will cause the demise of some console. Same story, nothing has changed over how many exclusives now?!

With that said, GT 5 Prologue has already been released. If people were clamoring for GT5, they likely would have bought a PS3 for GT5 Prologue by now.

I re-iterate, GT5 will give a sales boost, but it will be temporary especially since Prologue has already been released. I also want to point out that...

Fiber optics is probably the best bet right now. Copper has a lot of latency and of course I'm discounting the fact that the data packets can take many different routes that also affects the latency.

Infrastructure is definitely not there yet.

I think it will, just be like Halo: Reach boosted the Xbox 360 in sales. Then again it will be short lived just like the Xbox 360 one.

It will be nothing like the fanbois want it to be though. It's a temporary boost nothing more.

I know enough that Netflix isn't time sensitive from the time it occurs to the time it reaches the user, hence caching is possible.

Latency shouldn't be confused with bandwidth. Netflix has a lot of bandwith, but latency not necessarily.

In fact, the servers in this case has almost nothing to do with it because clearly they are high end gaming computers. The issue is the time it takes for something to occur on the screen until it reaches your screen t...

Four things in order of importance:

a) include headset

b) DS3

c) lower price

d) better PSN support for gaming out of the gate

... also wished they kept BC.

An HDMI cable for me is something I can purchase for $5 so not a big deal, but would have been nice.

I would love to have hardware BC on my PS3. There are still games on the PS2 I still haven't played. I own some PS2 games, but no PS2.

I don't want to spend $100 on a PS2, when a PS3 can upscale it much better with a wireless controller.

For me software emulation is sh!t, but at least you can still play em alas Xbox 360 and some older phat PS3s.

I have neither software nor hardware BC!

Now granted the hardcore doesn't control the gaming market like they used to (granted they still think they do), but people complaining about the lag in KillZone 2 controlls would surely notice the lag from your internet connect!

I don't see this taking off, but the positive about all of this is probably if they housed the P2P online gaming with the computers then suddenly lag is reduced considerably for those types of games which might even it all out....

Yeah, my experience of Kinect is nothing like that gentlemen. I didn't have much issues with Kinect picking up my movment.

The Kinect ID though is a hit and miss, but after calibrating it during different times of the day (i.e. the lighting) then it worked like a charm every single time after that.

To properly use Kinect, calibrate it when you first get it and re-calibrate it a few times and it works like a charm.

My issue with Kinect i...

It's not the fact that it is open source that makes it have bad user interface nor is closed source a guarantee of great user interface. It is just the people behind open source software generally don't spend as much time working on the interface.

Of course there are exceptions to the rule, some are excellent! It just seems more prevalent in open source alas ever tried configuring Apache? Then try IIS!

For the record, I actually prefer Apache for it&#...

"Back to Move, though. To make this attractive to a wide spread audience, it should change its "peripheral" status to "system integrated" especially if the costs of doing so are so small. Those costs can be offset by additional license income through Move specific titles (which obviously will have a bigger market then) and will make it more attractive for developers to support."

True, but relates back to my point. Would you create a game to sell ...

I believe this is a testament to the potential for video games. Among the coolest things so far are Minority Report like User Interface and 3D virtual reconstruction of the physical world.

I'm looking forward to see what else will come.

As someone that works with both open and closed source software I can say that it is both a negative and a positive to be open source because with it comes a host of other problems such as bad user interface and support.

For home use though, in many cases the benefits far outweigh the weakness.

Well, if MS gets their 5 million Kinect sold this Christmas they are already at 10% penetration rate in mere two months assuming MS is able to get a userbase of 50 million this Christmas.

Doesn't seem too far fetched to me.

"Sony always struggles going into the Holidays"

That is because Xbox 360 and Nintendo stronghold is in the US. Well Nintendo all over the world or at least used to. Anyhow, US consumers are very much driven by shopping season more than almost any other country. The shopping craze starts around Thanksgiving until the end of the year and now spilling into January is where all the big purchases are done. That is why Sony keeps trucking along all year, but the boost doe...

The short answer, is it has both.

The long answer, is Copy/Paste comes early next year officially announced by MS.

SD card is available, but not all cards are compatible. In fact the speed rating isn't enough to tell if it is compatible as Windows Phone 7. It has something to do with random read/write speeds and you will notice the issues.

MS/AT&T has been announced that some certified SD cards will come to the market later.

As a hardcore gamer (and occasionally casual), I do not want Kinect in my hardcore games as present. I want it built up from the ground up to provide a unique experience.

Basically something that leverages Kinect's advantage, something that can't be done with the controller. That is why Kinect Adventure is awesome. Some of those games impossible to do on the controller without making it extremely clumsy or lack the fun factor.

Do the same for hardcore...

I kind of agree, almost all the experiences available for the hardcore on the PS Move is better done on the controller with the DS3.

The only game I have seen that might be some minor advantage is the gladiator mini-game and the table tennis in Sports Champion. Everything else is a different, but a degraded experience. I see no reason to put myself through that.

Right now, if I were to play a motion control between PS Move or Wii, I would pick Wii hands down...
