This is obviously the right approach when you see the big picture with all the data like they do, you see who is glitching and using which weapons to high advantage, if you listen to the vocal minority you're nuts, you need to do what is best for everyone.

Actually games today cost wayyyy more than back in the day. Mortal Kombat 1 was made by 4 people in a garage for pennies. The only reason games cost more than usual for the small scope of the game is a very rocky development cycle like in the case of Shenmue 2.
The whole purpose of a company is to make money, and if gamers are used to paying 60 bucks for a new game, what reason would there be to lower the price? None, exactly.

To say that CoD has "slowed in sales" os nonsense, every game slows in sales 7 months after it's released, and it broke every sales record for every other CoD game, look up worldwide figures and tell me the series is in trouble just because your deluded hater self wants it to be.
In case you missed it, Kratos died in GOW3. They aren't going to continue the series after all the gods are dead. They can only do prequels at this point because of the poor choices made by the idiots who wrote GOW3's ending.
I think they can do so much which this mythology, and the team spent so much time working on PS3 it would be a waste of all that knowledge to just skip to PS4 this soon.
