I take it the people making the game have been watching a lot of UFC, which is likely where they got all those moves from.
They're probably reading this thinking "Great, now how do we explain away this plot hole... maybe someone from Brazil or Taiwan or wherever who knows martial arts trained him, yeah" lol
Yeah lots of Brazillian Jiu-jitsu fighters are in UFC, keep trying.
Videogames entail several art forms - storytelling, sound design, music, graphics design, gameplay design, all art forms in their own right.
It is the luddites who are out of touch, who have never played videogames who demonize them, degrade them, and degrade those who play them.
I'd say there were some sexy moments in the Mass Effect series, plus Eva from MGS 3 was sexy, she didn't need to be dancing around like this article suggests. There's more to sexiness than realism of polygon characters - I believe what you're looking for is a substitute for porn.
Metal Gear 2 had the worst story of the series, but it wasn't a bad game gameplay wise - had jaw dropping graphics back in the day, and improved on everything gameplay wise from MGS1.
MGS 4 in its entirety should be mentioned on this list, just one huge moment after another.
The Bioshock opening sequence was amazing, one of the best opening sequences this generation I'd say.
Also, Mass Effect 2 and 3 were filled with huge moments, from start to finish.
Heavy Rain it was dismembering your finger in front of a camera on the off chance that you would see your son again, way more intense than any of the gratuitous ...
lol a fan of the first game? Did you play the first game? It was a glitch filled mess. There are no fans of the first game, it didn't sell anything, which is why they ported it to the PS3 for cheap to try and recoup some of their costs, and it still didn't sell anything.
To anyone who doesn't understand simple economics - I have nothing for you. No explanation will get facts through your thick heads.
Not sure that trophies make you cooler - they're more of an indicator of how much time you have on your hands, and how dedicated you are to making gaming a bigger priority in your life than it probably should be.
If this game comes out within a month or 2 of RE6, Dishonoured, Call of Duty, Halo 4, Assassin's Creed 3, Far Cry 3 and the next Medal of Honor game, it's going to get lost in the shuffle. They should delay it to 2013 like the smarter people creating Bioshock Infinite did, and continue working on the game to make it perfect. Lets just say the first game was a glitch filled mess, and I can only suspect that's why they're releasing this game later and dropping the price. It'...
There's a little big planet level, so I think sackboy will make an appearance at least in some fashion.
Really? I watched all 5 episodes, not sure if the online list is different than the televised one, although if MGS1 is on the list the rest definitely weren't.
MGS3 and 4 definitely deserved to be in the top 20, list was B.S.
At least IGN gives props to the Medal Gear franchise, G4TV is such a hack network, they ran their best 100 games of all time list over 5 shows, filled with crap games and mostly zelda and mario games (shows you the people making the list are probably 35-40 years old) and not a single Medal Gear game was on the list, no matter how revolutionary the franchise was to stealth games, and no matter how man imitators their were that couldn't live up.
Good job IGN!
And guess what ladies.... HE'S SINGLE!!!
@ dummies above ^
He could either be a Bungie fan or a Halo fan, and showing his skills won't exactly hurt his career prospects.
Use your brain, douchebags.
Looks good, I wonder if he's pining for a job either with Bungie or Microsoft's next Halo project?
lol who gives a crap about what internet fanboy trolls think anyway? Agree or disagree all you want you, it means nothing - don't get worked up over some unemployed loser in their underwear hitting a disagree button on every comment he sees.
Exactly - Why do gamers have such low self esteem about game playing - it's your hobby, why do you need to seek approval from others who couldn't care less about your hobby? The person collecting baseball cards or the person who goes fishing doesn't give a crap what you think of their hobby - they think it's cool and that's enough for them.
Gaming doesn't need to "grow up". You're playing a game for crying out loud - it's supposed to...
This says more about Vivendi and its poor decision making - which is why it desperately needs to unload its liabilities and get some short term cash by selling its assets ie. stake in Activision. They would be stupid to do it rather than selling its other assets to pay off its rising liabilities.
If anything Activision is one of the most profitable companies - it just pays its employees way too much, particularly its CEO (as is the case with most companies in North America)....
Crappy list.... I mean Killzone 2? Really? Beating it on hard was easy - playing to get those annoying online trophies was teh biggest pain in the ass of life. Same with every other game with online trophies - like Twisted Metal, being #1 in the world for a bronze trophy? Really?
There are fewer things more boring than watching other people play videogames... lol I'd rather be playing them myself, you really aren't going to learn anything about strategy by watching snippets of matches here and there from people playing each other screaming at their team mates.
Is there really anyone more annoying or obnoxious than a "pro gamer"? South Park did a brilliant episode on this, where you have obnoxious gamers screaming at each other that the othe...
