lol How about when the 360's lack of hard drive and archaic dvd drive with hardly any space on it screwed up every multiplatform game of this generation! I'm sure Final Fantasy 13 hasn't escaped everyone's memory as of yet, nor several other games we probably haven't even considered given the horrible port job to PS3 that so many games are victims of these days.

Funny the picture is a Killzone picture, but Killzone didn't make the list, fishing for hits obviously, and it worked given this has gone to the top of the heat list.

A better question may be best series this generation, which had the strongest showings overall, it's easier to pick entire series than just one game.

In that case, I'll continue this thread the way it should have been started.

I like the Mass Effect series, ...

Oh yeah, that was another thing, NO MAP! Even RE4 had a map, the game was just too confusing with the odd camera angles, survival horror has been awful since then in terms of design, and as a result no one bought any survival horror games since they have been for the most part terrible since RE4 (which wasn't survival, more like intense action horror).

As a result no publisher will approve a large budget for any survival horror games because they believe there is no au...

This should be re-titled to "If you created a successful franchise at any point in history, you should no longer be allowed to expand on what you created and enjoy continued success, pleasing your fanbase and growing your organization to advance gaming as an entertainment medium".

F'ing trolls on the internet can take their article and shove it.

lol I liked it for a bit, it was actually fun for a while and the bad game design caught up with me, eventually I hit something that was unacceptably bad and decided to sell it, not that I can remember what it was. But yeah compared to Leon he was crap with bad writing and nothing relateable about him.

That article has actually already been done, but nonetheless.
Those things girls hate, like assuming she's fat, or ugly, or crap at gaming, they're all true only 99% of the time, but there's always that fraction of a percent of girls who's actually higher than a 7, but who are people kidding, stereotypes exist for a reason - because most of the time they're f'ing true.

I don't even remember the protagonist, didn't get through the entire game, but it was ripping off Resident Evil 4 at the time, not very well mind you lol The game design was crap.

Exactly, I mean all those facebook games and arcade shovelware? Who cares? People want to pay 10 bucks to play games that cost less on mobile devices and are free on facebook and tons of other gaming sites?
You gotta admit, console owners are so jaded and used to paying out the ass for way too much crap that they're willing to shell out 10-15 bucks for something you can get for a dollar, or free elsewhere, it really says something about how console owners are treated, and how the...

All these complaints, and yet that picture from their game looks pretty grey, so does the one at the source link lol

The problem is developers are drab, and have no artistic style or vision, you can probably tell from the clothes they wear whether they have taste in bright colours, the Killzone 2 team probably showed up to work in grey suits (executives) and grey drab sweatpants (the nerdy developers) lol

Just because Vivendi bought shares with Activision does not mean Msoft will have any stake in Activision - Vivendi are selling Activision stock, so Msoft can buy Vivendi all they want it won't do anything for them in securing Activision exclusivity.

Also, it's up to Activision as the publisher to do what it wants. It doesn't matter who owns Activision stock, no one tells Activision what to do but Activision. The only thing a stock owner can do is threaten to sell ...

The team doesn't have the resources to do anything other than a single console release, and it's a Japanese team with a good relationship with Sony. 0% chance of the game coming out on a non-Sony platform, however the team has been making the game for PS3 this entire time, it would take a massive amount of work and money to throw out everything they just made and start over on different architecture, learn the new architecture of the PS4, and then code for it. It would take years, and...

It used to be rock and roll in the 50's to the 80's, in the 60's to the 90's it was comic books, from the 80's to today it's been rap music, from the 90's starting with Mortal Kombat it was videogames. Psychologists are unfortunately not talking about proven science when they talk about videogames, the science is more stocastic; and the people who talk the most about videogames aren't even psychologists or have any recognizable credentials whatsoever! They'...

What we are seeing here from lousy American businessmen is "Fallacy of the Majority" (Google it). This is where they create nothing from creativity, and only try to appeal to the mass market, or what they think the mass market is. They then compete with everyone else for the mass market - the problem is, everyone else is competing for the same market of people.

To escape this fallacy, what developers need to do is create games to an audience that *no other develop...

Exactly - not every game needs multiplayer. Bioshock 2 didn't need it, those resources could have been better spent making BS2 stand up to what BS1 was - an amazing experience. Same with Dead Space 2, I mean what was that MP? Mindless crap that you could only stomach for a few rounds before getting bored to tears. So many single player games suffer because of crappy MP tack on jobs that suck up resources that could be better spent coding the actual single player to, you know, build your a...

If you're drinking while you're gaming, that's sad and pathetic. It's also extremely expensive, as you're combining your two habits that cost an arm and a leg if you combine them.

This will definitely not be a PS4 title, they've been having serious computer engineering hassles with this game, I doubt they have the know-how and technical expertise to learn the PS4's architecture AND reprogram the game's engine, and rework all the code, that's a huge and expensive undertaking.

If you get in the mood for killing after playing a videogame, you have serious psychological issues that could have come out had you watched violent tv, read violent books or comic books, or listened to violence glorifying music. You can not blame videogames for this. The dumb kid was nuts and was able to buy guns with zero psychological evaluations. In Canada you need a psych eval and a plethora of other things just to be able to keep a gun in the back of your car, not reachable by anyone si...

This probably has about as much to do with the original Zombi game as Metal Gear Rising has with the original Metal Gear back on the NES.

The team doing this has no relation to the previous team back in the 80's, I guarantee. They just took the name because they had the rights to it.

This should be titled "6 games I personally hate that sold well anyway". Those games don't sell well because people hate them, it's because they actually enjoy playing them dummy - the author has a screw loose. just because you hate fitness games or call of duty doesn't mean no one else in the world does. Oh wait, he writes for official xbox magazine, of course he has a screw loose.

Of course regarding transformers, that game actually was crap.
