So this weekend there was the best sale yet I've seen for the Wii U bundle and instead of telling people about it, Nintendo Life instead writes junk like this that panders to the most diehard of existing Wii U owners. They posted when Palutena amiibo peorders open up this week so they are not against posting retail/sale announcements. I guess their view is - you either already own a Wii U which makes you one of the smartest people ever, or you don't which means you are scum and not w...

Who doesn't want a life-sized Olimar strutting across their desk? Olimar won't be the first amiibo I've bought, but he will be the only one I make an effort to get.

No thank you, I still prefer PSN and XBox Live over Nintendo's online push. I would expect Nintendo's network to work better than PSN and XBL since there is only 10 million Wii U owners that could ever be using it at once. Sony and Microsoft are both still supporting their previous generation of console's online gaming while Nintendo dropped Wii support a little over a year after the Wii U launched. If Nintendo had to deal with the same amount of people accessing their network ...

"To presumably coincide with the announcement of the Final Fantasy 7 remake back at E3 2015"

Is that why this set was shown at San Diego Comic-Con in 2014? Just because this random site didn't know about this box set, doesn't mean that the rest of us didn't read about it last year. It is bad enough that this site spread the rumor that Nintendo expects to ship 20 million NX in the first year.

"The Wii U didn't exactly benefit from having older games like Mass Effect 3 and CoD Black Ops II heading up it's launch."

Black Ops II released on November 12. The Wii U came out on November 18, which is when the Wii U version of Black Ops II came out. Working a little too hard there on the "old ports" talking point.

Mass Effect 3 I agree with that it shouldn't of been released on the Wii U. Sure it was the best EA game in ...

"XB1 outsold the PS4 last Black Friday and December with just a Halo collection and a cod bundle."

Somewhere, a little Forza Horizon 2 and a Sunset Overdrive angel just dropped dead.

Seriously though, downplaying the games that your favorite console had during a period in order to make it look better kind of defeats the point you are trying to make.

Don't worry, this is fake. Gearbox doesn't want to bring any of their games to NX, not after how Ubisoft was treated. There will be no easy scapegoats for Nintendo's next console and the remaining diehards might just have to blame Nintendo if the NX fails.

It wasn't third party games that hurt the Wii U in it's first year, it was the lack of first party games. Gamers looking to buy a Nintendo console for it's IPs had only a 2D Mario game for 7 month...

Fortunately, I was wrong and the game install size didn't go up another 15GB. The game wasn't replacing assets though, but rather this patch was a cumulative patch that included all the previous ones. The way that it was implemented meant that you had to download everything all over again (there was no looking to see what was already there as ShadowKing- posted).

I just finished downloading it.

No, it wasn't. How about not telling us how we should and shouldn't react to things and instead just report on games and news?

Very nicely done Splatoon! Like the article says, I too hope that this encourages Nintendo EAD to start bringing us new IPs. I haven't seen this spark from them since Animal Crossing and Pikmin were launched. The Inklings are great characters and hopefully Nintendo uses them in future Nintendo promotional images.

"We also know that the best way to launch a game like that is to surprise and delight them, to give them a launch date, in an environment like this let them play it"

How exactly does Zelda for Wii U fit with that statement? The game was launched in 2013 without gameplay footage or a launch date, which according to Reggie is something that Nintendo doesn't do. I agree that people shouldn't be ignoring the full quote. Now if we could only find a way for die...

Another 15GB, bringing the total install size to 70GB. While I am enjoying the game, if every patch is as unoptimized as the last 2, my interest in the game will dwindle to match my remaining hard drive space.

Of all the "Destiny Hate" articles that have been popping up in the last 24 hours, at least this one gets it right on what is actually bothering the players. It isn't the cost or the content but the fact that new players can buy everything for $60 while existing players have to pay $40 dollars for the expansion. I'm all for deals that bring new players to the game but this is insulting to those who have been playing for the last year.

I think this article should check its facts. That is CLEARLY Jon Hamm providing the voice and likeness for the character since it is well established that is what all American men in 1950's America looked like. /s

Joking aside, Kyle Crane from Dying Light does sound like he was voiced by Troy Baker even though it was someone else. That someone else also voiced one of the most famous characters from the seventh generation of games yet nobody remembers who that voice acto...

A level 23 Warlock?! I didn't know that it was possible to be that level 9 months after the game released and still think you are qualified to write articles about the game.

Destiny does have its problems but unfortunately for this "writer" the ones that he brings up have all been addressed. He probably would of known this if he actually played the game.

@The 10th Rider

I realize that that is the current spin both Nintendo and some of its diehard fans are trying to put on this, but unfortunately I remember past Nintendo announcements. Nintendo sure didn't have that philosophy of only showing games releasing soon at E3 2014 when they announced Zelda, Star Fox, Mario Maker, Yoshi's Wooly World, and Devil's Third. Xenoblade Chronicles X was announced in 2013 and Smash Bros was announced all the way back in 2011. <...

"All games should be PS4 exclusive"

Hopefully not. Competition is what makes things better. Every company that has dominated the market has invariably grown arrogant and stumbled with a console (N64, PS3, Xbox One). Thankfully there were alternatives that allowed gamers to speak with their wallets and not purchase a console since they could get games somewhere else.

I bet nobody expected Ubisoft to combine Ghost Recon with Far Cry - probably because it is Assassin's Creed they shoehorn into every game. Well played Ubisoft. Keep that originality flowing!

What are these games that they are still making for the Wii U? Did you watch a different Nintendo Direct than everyone else did? The one that I saw only had a new Mario tennis game announced for the Wii U - and that is coming out this year. The only Wii U games coming out in 2016 and beyond are ones that were announced years ago.

While it is amusing for you to attack everyone who is upset with Nintendo's E3 as trolls, the only one talking without factual evidence to su...
