Thanks Rippn. We do definately think the ps+ model has better games and we hope ms takes a leaf from Sony there. As for the two that held the controller I guess I didn't bat an eyelid cause I think it's a personal thing. I have bigger hands and maybe Charlotte doesn't so I could reach those buttons but I cannot form an opinion till it's ultimately in my hands so ill reserve my judgement till then. Cheers for tuning in

I think its a very good Marketing strategy that will be all over the place, in store, so that people with information from April this year can now "Get the Facts" and can understand that what they thought is no longer true. Lets hope it pays off.

Will these stories about whose dick is bigger than yours finally stop! So sick and tired of everyone being technical freeking experts and trolling with flame bait stories like this.

Heres an idea. Buy the game, play it, enjoy it. Easy!

Goes to show the mindset of most Sony Gamers right here! Scared of change, scared of moving forward and doing their best to belittle everything else about their competition.

Maybe they should go and listen to the recent words of Shosida who praised Microsoft and the Xbox One recently saying many positive things.

Fanboys will be fanboys, this sort of stuff is just unnecessary

Thats an interesting perspective and one I didn't really consider. To us Aussies, we all think you Americans have it all, the most choice, the best stores, the earliest games, tv shows and movies, and most of all the cheapest prices. And, all of that is true, however you also have the highest unemployement rate, worst health system and many people struggle with disposable income so it makes sense with the GFC and strain on peoples incomes, that price (allbeit $50) is still something tha...

Thats actually very true. But on the flip side, I dont even compare the Wii U to the PS4/XB1/360/PS3 because well IMO the Wii U just is in a different league. A league of first party titles over and over and a model that works for them despite displeasing the hardcore. The loyal fans lap it up (I too am one) but I gave up trying to make Nintendo become a PS3/360 because that ultimately isn't their strategy at all, they have a different focus entirely.

MS and Sony are e...

I guess its the same as a bitmap 50mb image being saved as a jpeg. Sure theres compression there, but it looks the same. Its a numbers game only.

Thats true, seeing what happens on next gen is also key. Firstly its hard for either PS4 or XB1 to offer used games on day one as of course every title is a new release. I'd say 6 months later, it may begin that titles become free, or at least discounted to begin with. Once we pass the 12 months with both, it would be like the current system for sure I beleive.

On the other hand, PS+ needs to show its fans where the subscription fees are going, ie towards developing ...

Starting in a new market over 1.35 billion people it would make total sense to tap into that market. Even with a 5% pickup of the new console ,ie 5% of their population, thats 67.5 million consoles sold. There is endless opportunity here and if they play their cards right, others will certainly see this and will soon follow.

Cheers for tuning in :)

I chose to leave the PS+ and Xbox Live out of the equation because both technically offer free games to their consumers (allbeit the PS3 has done it longer and with more games). But to the parent in the store or the person with limited knowledge, its seen as an additional purchase that they need to make. I guess given both systems prefer you to be connected to play online, it keeps the playing field level in my opinion. But although PS+ has more...

Surely all teh games that are running at TGS and have been show should be proof enough. Im yet to see anything on PS4 that blows away the Xbox One as of yet.

Oh wait, thats right, they cant even get the PS4 working at TGS!!!!

Great write up and interview. Proof is in the pudding bitches. If you still wanna argue about power, buy a PC! :)

The cloud can do a bit, but how much? From what I've heard its barely a 5% increase?

We accepted its more powerfull (but your referring to fans in general, I understand that). I keep saying, let the games do the talking. I accept the PS4 is more powerful than the Xbox One.

4637d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Jessup, why would Microsoft be concerned? MS has used the same architecture and design since Xbox Original to now, ie PC architecture that developers have coded and worked with. Its Sony that has to prove itself given its moved away from its complicated Cell Chip system and now to basically a PC architecture. There would actually be a new learning curve for Sony developers, nothing really will change on the MS side. Thats my opinion.

No ones getting defensive. As we stated, you cant isolate one part and assume thats the benchmark for the entire console. So what if PS4 is more powerfull. PS3 was more powerful than 360 and 360 multi plat games all ran and performed better on 360 as it was the lead development platform. Sure sony's 10 exclusives looked awesome, but when it came to ports, Sony PS3 (despite being more powerful) lagged behind.

Were going to let the games do the talking this generation. ...

Actually Mrs Nun we decided to discuss the overall success of GTA5 as opposed to feeding fanboys on either side of the fence with which version has the better looking bush. I mean really, whats the point, its a brilliant game that all should experience.

Nah, companies just basically rip off Aussies and set the prices that they think we'll pay Domestically. For example, the PS4 is $399 in USA, so with our current Xchange rate it should sit around $440, instead its $500!

Yes BG11579 all new releases are $89 in Australia, FIFA 14 will be no exception. And yes, for Aussie preorders, irrespective of whether its a Day 1 edition or not, everyone gets FIFA 14.
