big companies do this all the time. They want to own the game give a small cash reward so they can treat it like their own and say FU to the creator. Then make a hundred iterations of new ip.

would you play super mario bros. 2 if the crisp blocky graphics were blurred and you couldn't judge distances and where the platforms begin or does this argument only pertain to current gen games?
or how about if the game just looked bad with green and turd coloring and non pleasing to the eye color schemes. Would you really play that for hours on end.
first off its not just ps3 only users. Its pc users,its 360 users and even wii users will comment on how good their games are graphically for their consoles, example look at monster hunter comments and graphics, zelda, even mayamoto knows they matter.
Graphics matter, that's right i said it. Do they matter so much you can't enjoy a game? No. Do they matter so much that if two similar games are next to each other and one looks better you'll buy that instead? yes....

you definately get a certain vibe from playing the playstation brand. Mainly its a solid gaming experience that gets down to business.

I think the only reason we see these kind of articles and wide praise is how old the series is, making it an easy recognizable mascot for their article to do a write up.

dont worry i'll be angered enough that you can feel riteous too, because i wont be buying it, MMO's suck, the games going to lack so much focus you'll never get the closure or cool plot twists you crave from KOTOR in sp. breath of fire games in general get overlooked, i almost feel as if they are on par with a majority of FF games. If not, better in some cases.
a legit KOTOR sequal should be an sp game, but frankly creating the world required for a game of KOTOR level type for current gen, can be seen in their Mass Effect games. people still feel ME 2 is limited in corridors and exploration (i share this view) and Bioware probably feels as if the only way to make enough content to satisfy peoples needs of a fully functioning universe, is through an MMO.
i just finished Mass Effect 2 again ($20 at kmart, sale last week.) Edit: i did beat it a while ago but it was only a rent, so i decided i'd go buy it when the sale came up.

Ratchet and clank has personality and witty dialogue/character development while your typical nintendo base Nintendo games of Zelda/Mario have none to little. (metroid has great character development. even the gba games have a typed out story at least)
