The Witcher Blood and Wine sex scene was awesome.. Pretty whacky but thats the first instance I've seen where a sex scene in a video game was borderline artistic. It wasnt cringe worthy at all.. very well done.
They have everything to do with it.. consoles didn't have fps games in the 90s, now they do and they're the most popular genre.. so that has taken away interest in jrpgs. In the 90s jrpgs were mainstream, they were played by everyone.. but now kids run out to buy COD. WRPGs are easier for people to get along with.. much more approachable than menu heavy JRPGs, so they have also detracted attention and stolen some of the market share.
I can't see it ever being like it was in the 90s.. just because back then we didnt have western rpgs and the fps genre wasnt big on consoles. That being said, the genre seems to be on the rise again to some extent. Looking forward to playing Persona 5 and seeing what Square have done to FFXV.
I could go for Preacher. Loving Batman so far! Telltale's engine might be dated but they know how to write good narrative.I heard Mr Robot was next :P
Dammit I thought this one looked cool, doesnt sound like its worth a purchase.. even though im desperate for anything to play on my Vita :P
Cool follow up to the original. I really liked Layers Of Fear.. Its one of the better indie horror titles to come out recently. I appreciate games that build suspense and not just cheap jump scares.
Digital games are so much better. I honestly replay so many more games because I can just access them quickly. Also, multiplayer games, or games that I just pop into for a quick 20 minutes like Battlefront or Overwatch are SO much better digital.. no mucking around changing the CD. The price really isnt that much of an issue if you wait for sales as well.. If you're going to buy day 1 then theres no difference anyway.
I was a huge Limbo guy, so stoked this is now coming to PS4 as well.
Shoutout to First Light! That game rocks.
I've played this game.. despite its flaws its actually pretty fun and innovative.
Love the art direction. Definitely going to keep an eye out for it.
Sony want to nurture all their studios though. Bend hasnt released a game in nearly 7 years.. Sony have invested a lot into Days Gone. They aren't going to want it being trounced by TLOU2.
As a fan of the whole zombie craze I'm pretty stoked for Days Gone, as I'm sure Bend will do a terrific job. TLOU2 will happen but it isnt going to be two years after Uncharted this time around I don't think.
Yeah cos privacy isn't a big deal, right? :p Seriously I wouldn't be surprisedoing if we see augmented reality games become cash cows for ad agencies.
If you're making a game around a Dark Souls / rougelike model then you need to prioritise difficulty otherwise it is going to get tedious. What a shame, was looking forward to this one.
The article states resogun is an example of good gameplay.. lots of the games you me ton here aren't AAA really. Nintendo definitely produce quality gameplay consistently.
This is my worry with VR .. I don't want "experiences" - I want proper games that give me gameplay. People get way too carried away with graphics and production these days.
Overwatch'a characers made the game really.. though not in a story sense. It's more that the characters define it as a different sort of shooter.
Apparently they are worried that the console will be copied because its so innovative.. As if Sony and Microsoft would suddenly be able to shit out a console in the next 12 months if they demo'd the NX at E3. Load of rubbish!
This game looks like a Bioware title.. just a less refined Bioware title. Perhaps, if you're into the cyberpunk/sci fi premise then its worth a look. The gameplay just seems a bit... meh?
