"I'd like for the companies we entrust with our gaming futures by buying their hardware to actually regularly sell me on why my purchase was a good one."
If PlayStation's history for having games, the fact that they just released a VR the fact that we already know a ton of exclusive games that are in the works (TLOUMP, DS2, Matter, Wolverine, FFVIIR2, Stellar Blade, Convalaria, Rise of the Ronin, Quantum Error, Blue Protocol...
Because the next big game ->is<- Final Fantasy XVI. They have been doing state of play since 2019, and it follows a clear format of showcasing whatever the next big game is.
When a Sony game is the next big game, they will do a State of Play for that... do you seriously think they won't have a state of Play for Spider-Man??? And again they have already said they will be showing TLOU MP later this year.
$599 is a price, and it was a good price considering it had hardware BC with PS1 and PS2, that's why it's one of the most sought after consoles today. And it sold out with ease at that price.
And Ridge Racer hardly tops things like claiming power of the cloud was going to make xbox like 10 xboxs. That's on top of the fact that power of the cloud was just another failed attempt from Microsoft to make games always online by ne...
What? Ridge Racers was just promised to be a game, I dare you to go back and look at some of the claims that Microsoft was making.
I am just going to post this one video because I am not going to take the time to wayback machine the insane claims they made that people called out their B.S. on regularly.
My issue is how this is presented. As if Microsoft wasn't going to continue this arrangement that had already been going on for years.
It's the way they are taking hostage... like hey if you don't approve our deal we're not going to do this thing.... (which they are obviously going to do anyway)
Why does this have anything to do with the Activision buyout?
All these things Microsoft is saying are contingent on the buyout are things that could be done regardless.
Activision could have always put CoD and other games on Nintendo consoles and still can, just like this deal, Microsoft I'm sure already planned to extend the deal, but they are just trying to hold it hostage now.
Just an FYI, PlayStation has financing as well inclu...
Game Pass sometimes has day one games, and PlayStation Plus sometimes has day ones.
Last month Extra had Tchia and already this month Meet Your Maker.
PlayStation Plus has had day one games regularly since PS4 launched, but again Microsoft makes a big deal out of it, whereas Sony just offers day one games as a feature.
I would argue that Premium and Extra are both a better deal.
Game Pass offers 0 retro games, whereas Premium has gotten at least 3 retro games every month since it's relaunch, except two months early on and adds around 500 games.
Hardly, these days PS+ is getting more total games and far higher rated games month after month.
And on top of that, it's far cheaper if you're willing to get it for 6 months or a year, and heck if you just want the big budget newer stuff you can spend even less to just get extra, which is basically the rival to ultimate.
Ultimate is $180/y
PS Plus Extra $99/y
It's practically half the price.
So PS vs xbox: PlayStation had more than 3/4 of the total sales. But the CMA apparently wants to disadvantage the VAST VAST majority of the UK's customers in order to try to force people to buy a console which those same people have clearly stated they don't want.
Every game we get a breakdown like this it's the same thing, PS sells 70-80-90+ percent of the units.
Sony should make an emulator that plays xbox games... oh wait, they don't have any... I guess they should make an emulator that allows PS5 to play Bethesda and Activision games... I wonder how fast Microsoft would cry about that.
