I like the mention of Destiny at the end of the article, it’s as if the thought of any new game to free you from the repetitive grind is exciting
@k2d
Cheers - thanks for making me feel sane =)
Other way around – if you want the real Destiny, get Halo 5. Play the campaign on Legendary and you’ve got 30 hours of fresh nightfalls with a fireteam of 4. Way more content with smart AI. And the MP is tighter and more skill based.
I enjoyed Destiny and i'm surprised how much i'm enjoying Halo 5, i wasn't even going to pick it up

Someone please explain the battlefront hype. I have it pre-ordered and thinking about cancelling. Seems like an easy version of battlefield, low recoil guns, long time to kill, and automated killstreaks where you don’t drive. Is this an auto-cancel for someone who likes Battlefield?
And as a non-halo fan who was intrigued by Halo 5, the MP is insanely smooth and I wish all devs/publishers would get their games on that quality of dedicated servers.
It's a piece of junk. I use it for 'xbox record that' and 'xbox snap party'. That's it.
Me and a friend are only about 215 light level. Do-able?
Yes a couple bad apples ruin it for the rest of us, that's how the internet works =)
Xcom:EU one of my favorite games of all time. I have no problem with them going to PC roots first. I will wait patiently and see if good news arrives next year regarding a console port.
This would be awesome
JWill, a lot of thing they have talked about are there – the new quests, more room for bounties, tweaks to UI, weapon blueprints, etc. Quite frankly Destiny 2.0 feels just like Destiny 1.0.
Yes the Taken king will add a few hours of story, 3 strikes, 1 raid. And that is arguably worth the price of admission, but it’s not a whole new game like some people are claiming.
Well that was weird. Your article listed things wrong with Destiny and didn’t really give any reasons to go back.
I’ll be getting the game and playing with friends. And I have no problem if someone trashes the game for removing the story, putting the lore on a website, and making us party-up through a 3rd party website – because those are terrible decisions and they are still not fixed.
Yes. Thank you. Someone with a brain =)
LOL, you’re going to hit level 40 in a week or two, then it’ll be right back to grinding for gear. Your character level will be irrelevant and your offense/defense will be determined solely by the gear you are wearing, as it always was. How are so many being fooled by this ‘new’ levelling system?
I played last night, feels like the same game. New crucible maps, a few strikes, and a raid, then back to grinding the nightfall to get gear. I think it will get old a lot faster than it did in year 1, and that’s okay as long as it shortens the gap to Fallout.
@khurg
Yes I’ve finished both raids. No I don’t check bungie.net regularly at all, I like the convenience of having services in-game.
How is a chance of getting a jerk in your squad better than NOT PLAYING THE RAID?? Me and a friend pair with 4 randoms. 2 are jerks. 2 are not. Great! 2 people to add to my friends list and maybe get into a game a different week.
I have yet to see a valid defense for the OPTION of using in-game matchmakin...
@khurg
Imagine helping people that don’t know what they are doing. Why would you assume people joining a raid through matchmaking are automatically going to ruin the game for others? How is that any different than joining with randoms on the LFG sites? I can go join an LFG team right now and get spotted by gorgons.
Your defense of no matchmaking doesn’t make sense. It doesn’t affect your preferred method of getting into a raid, and why wouldn’t you want m...
So 3rd party websites can put randoms together for a raid but Bungie can’t figure it out in game? Please. Just another simple upgrade they will stretch out since they are on a 10 year plan.
If the Raids can be completed solo then I’ll take my chances with 5 randoms. Or with 2 of my friends and 3 randoms that are looking for the same thing I am. An easy way to get into the best content in the game without having to go through a website.
It’s ridiculous.
@Foxtrot
1080p standard? Who asked for this? This is the last thing on my list. How about larger games with new experiences and fun gameplay, that would be fantastic. Put it in 900p or 4k resolution, fun is fun.
It feels like his whole article was simply the xbox UI lag
The chance to play Fallout 3 again for FREE. Can’t beat that.
