I hate this game because it’s taking too long to get to the point, it’s full potential, due to the 10 year plan. I put up with this game because all my buddies think it’s the best and there isn’t much else to play at the moment. I can’t wait until November =)
All the tweaks are awesome but I was hoping for more playable content, especially strikes (only 3 new ones)
It's candy crush. You do mindless things that take a little bit of skill and then you get a virtual reward. Yay I won a prize!
Fantastic article, by the way.
Dragonknight - ouch. Never seen so many disagrees. Maybe grow up and don't be a fanboy.
I keep reading comments about MAJOR changes, but i haven't read anything too groundbreaking. Can someone tell me 1 major change with TTK?
We get 1 Raid (awesome), 3 new strikes, 8 crucible maps, and a bit of story. And some minor tweaks (leveling is like every other MMO now, dinklebot is gone, there's 'Quests' which are like the old exotic bounties, we can cash bounties from space).
We get new weapons replacing the old weapons.
All games with gold should be showing as "FREE", if not then something is wrong with your account and you should call them.
Logon to xbox.com and buy the 360 game for free. You now own that game. When BC comes out download the game to your xbox one.
25% off is not very good. You can get 30% off all games at E3 sale every year.
I was comparing Destiny to any other MMO where you are expected to grind to get all the gear. I don’t know why you are comparing static AI enemies of destiny against Halo/Cod where every match is different? 2 completely different genres.
Yes!
Biggest problem is amount of content. TTK doesn't fix this. There should be a couple more full size planets to explore and many more strikes. 3 strikes not enough.
@Leo
Uh, the entire story! =)
Do you actually think the “story” they told is the real deal? It’s so disjointed and ends abruptly. Activision clearly butchered it.
If you want a concrete example.. the Reef public area was shown in the Feb 2013 reveal and then sold to us in DLC in spring 2015.
It sucks that this is not only the norm this gen, but that fans of the games are 100% Cool with it
We are on the articles because we are passionate for the game. We can see how much potential the game has, and how the devs are taking years to get the game to a good point. So much of this game was stripped from the initial release and there are so many easy fixes that they could add TODAY to make the grind really fun. Don’t expect people like me to go away, we are waiting for the real game to be released and are excited.
People play candy crush too for 1500 hours. Which is fine. But this isn’t a $5 app, it’s supposed to be a huge epic game. Anyone who has looked into another MMO can see how insulting this amount of content is. That’s the frustrating part - I would like to play Destiny but they are going to take 3 years to release it because they are getting paid by the addicts for the diluted content.
You played a below-average campaign on repeat for 1500 hours just to spin the loot wheel, and now all that hard earned loot is irrelevant, and you are defending the developers? You should get some help for your addiction.
The game lacks content. Adding 3 strikes to the existing 9 or 10 is not going to help that.
The longer you can hold off the better. People love the potential and hate that it's taking so long to get a good amount of content.
only THREE new strikes.
Ouch.
Grinding the exact same weekly heroic/nightfall as year 1.
Couldn't agree more. At least randomize enemy placements in the nightfall. But no, they have to stretch their ideas over 10 years, so it'll take another full year to get the basics into the game.
PSN or XBL?
