How can fanboys still defend this?
I'ts a little premature to say Sony has won the cloud battle but like GribbleGrunger said "they have put themselves in the strongest possible position" to come out on top. To be honest i think this whole situation really caught MS by surprise but MS has the money/resources plus the popularity with the casual market to come back strong.
Just another great game ruined by EA, let me add it to the list:
1. Command and Conquer
2. Dead Space
3. Battlefield
4. Dragon Age
5. Crysis
6. Mass Effect
I just want MS to come out and show something already, i want to see the Nextbox!
Yes but you underestimate Microsoft's greediness and their lack of love for their own fan base.
Actually the always online part i do care about because if your internet is down or you have no internet access point because you already pay for it on a tablet or some other smart devise then you will be unable to even start up your xbox.
I think out of all 3 or 4 if you count steam box, Sony's PS4 will be the most accepting of such an open model. As what i have experienced with MS systems (360/windows8) the next Xbox will be going for more of a closed ecosystem so that MS has more control over its consumers & developers.
still not worth the money
The only thing live offers is more chat options and the ability to play your games online that's it everything else you can do for free on any other devise or console.
I know I'm going to get a lot of heat for this but I think the touch pad in the center was a bad design choice (its pretty much useless), Sony should have put a tiny touchscreen instead but that's just my opinion.
I am very much interested
I don't understand why devs keep going the casual route when developing a game, when has it ever paid off for them? Just look at all the current popular games for example they were all core games at one point and only became popular because of how the core crowd would praise these games and tell everyone they knew about how great they were. COD4 nobody knew about this game except the core, they told everybody they knew and eventually got everyone hooked, now COD is the worlds most popular...
I'm getting the PS4 at launch but i'm still interested in what the next xbox has to offer and if MS decides to make Live go freemium.
Where can i pre-oder this bad boy?
GameStop will be ok like Jek_Porkins said "they are evolving", Gamestop deals in more than just games they buy and sell used devises as well and let me just say you would be hard pressed to find a digital copy of an iPad.
So MS wants to turn the next Xbox into a more family oriented entertainment devise rather than a dedicated gaming console, I guess if that's the direction MS wants to go then more power to them.
When the Xbox 360 first came out it was all about giving gamers and non gamers the core experiences, now its all about the non gamers aka casuals
If live were to go freemium (though very unlikely) and i didn't have to use Kinect to play games then i would consider buying the next Xbox.
Please let this series die already nobody is impressed by COD and its dated engine anymore.
I really hope MS doesn't go this route
