God of War is excellent, but it doesn't feel like something really new ... had the same feeling. I partially prefer the old ones, still waiting for the second part of God of War. My favourite game in the nordic realm was Skyrim (in the last years) ...
Oh yes, an excellent game and I don't want to speak about the technical execution. Game was a blast. There were a few other games that I enjoyed very much like castlevania lords of Shadows (1st one).
There is no game of the genration for me this time, maybe Bloodborne or God of War. Other than that, I prefer to play several other games more.

No. If everything will turn out like that overrated series I will quit playing. Actually I prefer playing Grim Dawn on Pc, rather than playing Dark Souls. Grim dawn is more underground, more possibilities as far as combat and spell goes and more fun to play. They did, in the past. Dark Souls granted them high success and now they want to stay with that formula. Die 1000 times in 1 minute. That's what works for their business. They don't change so easily, that's their formula to make money. People seem too enjoy the same stuff over and over again.
