LMAO! Gut reactions to an HOUR of gaming huh? Well hell if we all just played 1 hour of Avatar the game we'd all label it as gaming gold! GOLD I tells you GOLD!
Really though, this guy should at least follow in the lines of the Kotaku guy and spend some REAL time with a game before opening your mouth to speak about it.
My first 10+ hours of FF13 were amazing! Then next 25 hours really REALLY became steadily more snooze fest worthy and repetitive. Then after 35-40hour...
Been excited for this ever since Sony first showed it off years ago. Day one buy for my RPG fanatic heart. Hopefully WKC2 doesnt take 1 year + some odd months to localize for the west. :/
Edit: Why the eff is there a screenshot from FF12 in there somewhere that I just saw? <.<
Like I said yesterday, this game WILL get murdered in reviews here in the west. The main reason is most reviewers will not play the 40 hours required for the game to become it's full potential. Ch11-13 are like an entire awesome FF game in itself. The first 10 chapters are just a drowsy filler of a mess.
Glad to see she completed it. I'm sitting at a solid 8/10 for it in my book right now, and depending on how the ending fairs it might get a bump to higher 8.X, but if it blows we...
I hope he gets to Chapter 11 around the 40 hour mark. Once he does he'll have his mind blown as the game changes entirely. So while him saying if you can't get a handle on what the game is like after 25 hours would be right for almost any other game...this is the one game that demands about 40 hours for you to realize the BIG meat of it.
I'm at Chapter 11 in the game. The first 10(40hours) you do not get any side quests, there are NO towns, there are no puzzle dungeons, there are no mini games, there are no choco rides, there are no airship destination picks, no back tracking for giggles to find random things you missed, and no maze dungeons either. It's pure story and very little in difficulty of battles once you have the hang of it.
Once you hit Chapter 11 though? It's like a totally different game. One that de...
My Bday is on Feb 17th. The game HAD a release date of Feb 16th, but now it's Feb 2nd. Either way I'm going to get it as a gift for myself day one. :D Glad to see us February guys unite around WKC. :P
I loved it too. Those who are thinking the battle system will get stale are high. This game is developed by Tri-Ace who has done the Star Ocean Series. While I wasn't a major fan of Till the End of Time or The Last Hope's story the battle systems were I N C R E D I B L E! Star Ocean: The Second Story back on PS1 is still my favorite game of all time.
The only thing I'm worried about for this game is dialogue/voice actors combination. The Last Hope was by far the worst dialogue ev...
I'm on Chapter 9 of 13 of the game. Right now is the first place I've actually found to grind mobs to get items so I can make money to level my weapons. That's about 30 hours in.
30 hours in and NO side quests thus far. As far as challenge goes it's not there that much once you get the hang of the game. I mean if you were terrible at keeping up with switching Optimas(classes) then you'd die a lot. The hardest thing in this game battles wise has been the summon fights, and even th...
She just couldn't stand that all he did was Javelin Glitch in MW2 against her. :O
I'm kind of glad. I doubt I woulda had the cash for Lost Planet 2 if it was expected in March. March has FF13, God of War 3, Resonance of Fate for sure that I'm buying. That's over 180 dollars there, so a little breathing room to complete all 3 of those before Lost Planet 2 is nice for me. :)
I loved the demo on my PS3. I will def. rent and play through this on my 360 though if it's that big of a difference.
Glad to see this game get great reviews when so many people were doubting it could be that fun to play.
That aside I will say that the guy at IGN had a poor video review. He doesn't touch on jack crap about the game and just flat out points to the fact that HE really liked it, but couldn't put into words why. I'm not going to use IGN's review as somet...
Could be a Soul Eater game? SquareEnix publishes either the manga or the anime in Japan for it. It seems well crafted enough to be a videogame itself.
I think the show is great. Really unique art style and likeable characters. I think it's still too early for KH3, and the anime characters have a touch of Nomura style to them already.
We'll find out soon enough. :D
Persona 5 or GTFO! :D
Can't wait. This is going to be a blasty blast. :D
I'm screwed. I applied into the beta with 2 different emails lol. Both just got discarded...FML.
Looked at the trailer which shows some gameplay. Nothing WOW here, but I'm sure I'll rent it for another RPG fix. Can't ever have enough of that RPGmeth :D
You mean to tell me VGchartz numbers were wrong...AGAIN?!
/sar
Idk why VGchartz even bothers to do their sales #'s when they are always wrong.
As for the games sales/consoles sales---great news. My copy is only 2 hours away from being delivered woop woop! :D
I really want Xenogears, Alundra, and Suikoden 2. I know Japanese PSN has those and I'd love to play them all---especially Xenogears. That game is pure awesome.
Make it happen Square. :D
Final Fantasy XI says hello from PS2, PC, and Xbox 360(plus you can play it on your PS3 if you wish to).
FFXIV will surely do the same IF they really do bring it to 360 later on.
Speaking as someone who has completed the game...impressions of the game should really not be done until having done Chapter 11 at least.(Yeah that's about 40+ hours of play, but the full extent of what this game has to offer isn't realized until the first 10 chapters are over with)
Honestly when you realize what the storyline is you then come to see WHY the first 35-40 hours are without towns to visit and fairly linear as FFX was. All the great makings of previous FF games is NO...
