I'm glad I have my PSP 3000. I really felt the Go was more or less a beta test of hardware/digital downloads as the only way to get games. I just prefer having the hard copies of games for a 1 major reason---I do a lot of trade ins and ebay selling. It's nice to be able to get some money back on games that collect dust otherwise.
If digital downloading was CHEAPER than retail I would have had no qualms about the GO!, but for now my 3000 is the best bet for money saving tactics as...
Am I the only one who thinks the game would've been much more appealing visually if they had somehow found a cel-shading method to make it look close to that screen shot up there? The in game characters all looked very dolly. Don't get me wrong though as the game is very impressive looking, but I think Tri-Ace art images are always better than the in game result.
Dojima-san laughs at you all, because Persona 4 dwarfs ALL rpgs this generation thus far in its shadow. Persona 4 = the best this gen, and if you don't want to count a PS2 game, then it's a tie between Demon's Souls and FF13 for me.

It's all about context and tying it into the gameplay/character development.
Heavy Rain lets you take a shower to see boobs. This does NOT develop Madisons persona. This DOES NOT tie into advancing the gameplay to find the Oragami Killer. It is PURE controversy and cheesy nudity to crack grins on sad nerds faces.

Cold 2000 I dare you to at least rent White Knight Chronicles and spend 30+ hours in it. You'll see why us "few" WKC players are being defensive of the title. The game deserves 8/10 across the board, and I dare anyone who has played it 30+hours to think otherwise really.
If you like JRPGs you'll have a blast with WKC.
Look at how over inflated a game like Fable 2's scores were...if any game this generation deserved 5/10's in the RPG department it was Fable ...
I'm so baffled by why this game is getting low scores. It's completely ridiculous. This game IS targeted at JRPG fans... so if you review it A) be one and B) review it for JRPG fans/hardcore gamers...NOT casuals or whoever else might want to pick it up because they saw a shiny knight on the cover.
Anyone...and I mean ANYONE who likes their JRPGs will like this game. It is a SOLID 8/10, and the scores are VERY unjustified to slander it down more. Yeah the story isn't jesus' second...
The only "new" stuff is that now you can pick either English or Japanese voice acting and pick English or Japanese character art in the battles. That's it. No new dungeons, enemies, extra characters, abilities, etc. If you played it on 360 then it's the same romp here(granted now you don't have to suffer the horrible English voices...but that won't fix this games abysmal dialogue and horrendous story.)
Damn Konami for not announcing a Suikoden 6 yet. Hell if they are short on some cash why not just release Suikoden 2 on the PSN for EU/USA...trust me we'll buy it. :D
I'm about 40 hours of game play into this game. I spent 22 hours straight yesterday playing it. Reviewers can go screw themselves.

Not a bad choice. Speaking as someone who's played all the Star Ocean games, and completed this one on my 360...it's a rental if you can beat a game within the 5 days of rental time. Even with the inclusion of Japanese VO's it won't fix the poor dialogue, emo characters, and very meh/bleh plot.

If it was even 1 or 2 weeks apart from FF13 it would greatly boost its chances of success. Personally though I will be buying this game day one over FF13...only because I've completed FF13 already with my Japanese import copy lol. I however, will be in the minority to pick this over FF13.

I don't think they have talked numbers, but I think it's safe to say it'll be 6 hours long if you can max out the length of it with your choices made to the fullest extent. However, replaying the game for multiple choices/occurences,etc will stretch that 6 at least 10 fold from how they have hyped it up to be so organic in terms of what happens based on your decisions.
I will be trying this demo to get a feel of gameplay... I personally hated Indigo with a red hot passion and fee...

*shurg* I'm still playing it, but I only play Hardcore Search and Destroy now. It was the same way in COD4...the game just doesn't work right and has too many BS moments otherwise.
If it isn't hardcore it takes too many bullets to drop people. If people have more than 1 life then I get the most BS spawn points with 3 guys behind me with their guns aimed at me already.(In Wasteland on TDM you can literally get spawned in the tunnel even if you JUST died in the tunnel...holy hell t...
Taking an entire strategy RPG series into a third person mech action game is a HUGE leap. Going with SE's track record this generation it'll most likely bomb to be fully honest.

I'm back in hype mode for this game. I just can't wait to finally get my hands all over it. I hope it does sell well enough so we get WKC2 at a closer simo release than this 2 year wait.
One of two things comes to mind for me.
1) Dead Rising. It seems like you could add a lot of zany things with Natal for it that could work on PS3 motion wand as well if it was multi plat later on.
2) Breath of Fire...Okay so maybe not the best choice, but I just want a new Breath of Fire game already! xD
The hype train rolls. Anything less than MGS4 now will shatter hearts. The way I see it this is THE VERY LAST time we should ever discuss a possible trophy patch for MGS4. The game will be 2 years old in a few months... holding your breath any longer is pointless.
With that said I hope they do add trophies to it. Just another reason to play through it for my 2893042 billionth millionth time. :D
