Turn console on. Update lasts no more then 10 min unless your internet is super slow.
Thats it. One update...and then install game, no more then one hour. Done.
Having both and not being biased Id say it takes about the same to download and play a game with both consoles.

I find the UI to be simple and clean.
I also find im able to play before finishing the downloads.
And my downloads dont last that long.
