Another round of fantasy league.
Wonder if they could do an article about "unique"360 users after factoring replacement units, moded consoles and slim upgrades.
I think its anywhere between 12-16 million units, meaning actual user base is just barley 30 million.
Wish they would do a MGS4 substance and include this in it with Move and 3D.
The real exclusive PS3 has makes it the choice for the hardcore gamer, while the 360 turned into the cheep or casual option. This is why it sells more software in worldwide total despite being behind in consol numbers.
PSN game quality just keeps getting better and better, please bring Malicious and Tokyo Jungle to NA Sony.
@GenericUserName
Actually Move is more popular even in sales, and popularity according to multiple surveys.
They simply fail as gamers, no halo reach on the 360?
Before the slim it was up to 30%. After the slim its 50%, so the install base is more like 45-12=32 million.
And that’s a fact proved by static software sales, while they are big they hardly increase and are close to the same rates from 2 years ago. And in 2009 the PS3 actually sold more software than the 360 despite the larger 6 million gap then.
So in software sales the 360 is in last spot now.
no way Halo 4 is in 2011
i really want to see somthing from Codename: Kingdoms
@AGhostFromThePast
It’s the thing you have stuck up you’re xxx
3 million I still a great number but what is the source? The only number for 12 days was given by Sony and it's 5.5 million.
PS3 is better worldwide but Sony can't afford to allow a big gap behind the 360 in the US, not just in sales but popularity as well.
The 360 managed to become the "It"to most kids and teens in the US, it’s the "cool" thing now, and the PS3 will have a difficult time unless it manages to get some mojo.
Of all the exclusives the PS3 has in 2011 I think Twisted Metal has the most "cool" factor, and Infamous2 if it has a mult...
Actually higher than I expected, didn’t think this much will spend the extra 100$ for the Move instead of the cheep Kinect, smart investment.
I think this is the perfect equilibrium, Move is selling enough to be a success but not too much that it takes the focus from hardcore games.
Reminds me of Out of this World.
LOL pwne of the year, bet he's gona delete this N4G account and start all over again.
All devs say the PS3 is super-powerful but difficult to take full advantage of because of bottleneck issues; maybe this will open it up.

no back peddling, Everyone said it will sell big halo like numbers worldwide and it did. And its few who badmouth halo because it’s a good game, and a lot hate COD because its average and overrated, and the dislike comes from both 360 and PS3 fans.
I'm depressing the 360 turned into a casual box, now MS will relax and just fund more casual games. Relying on 3rd party for everything else.
RIP hardcore gaming in the 360.
"Grant Turismo 5, the most recently-released entry into the franchise, has sold a reported 5.52-million copies"
5.52 million In a couple of weeks is rather impressive actually
He was lying about Greenberg's lie?
@horndog
By that logic the PS3 is #1 in a league of its own, and the 360 is already last gen.
Did you look at U3?
This game with Gabriel Knight are my all time favorite adventure games.
