Only reason I include it is because of all the "Kinect spies on us" fears.
I will remove it if people do not want it though
Thanks for this article, it is something I have been trying to point out ever since the story began picking up speed.
Not to say that nobody actually supporting it, but its obvious a good number of people are actively trolling.
In the end they won't reverse the policy just because a smaller petition than the first wants them to change again. Especially with all those troll comments littering the petition page.
It has a lot of trolls signing the petition as well. If you go on the page, the most liked comment is "ill sign to help ps4 so we have no stupid people on the same console as me."
Many others echo similar mocking sentiments.
Thats what happens when you have a well written story. People aren't 2d cutouts without depth. Its refreshing to see female characters who dont have to be rescued or only serve as a love interest.
I will disagree about no female military members in the game. I specifically remember a woman chatting right before the Fireflies attack right in the beginning of the game.
I think it makes sense though in the narrative of the game that women are not primary ene...
I feel like those devs have been stuck with crappy movie properties and have only been able to sink their teeth into one presentable game.
Maybe this is their time to shine. I get what youre saying though. I am not big into fighting games, but I have a lot of friends who are excited for this title. It would be a shame for them to blow this with lame mechanics or whatnot.
Interesting. Lots of people are gonna see it as gimmicky. Im not inclined to disagree.
They say the kinect 2.0 will be better (for what thats worth) so maybe it will have more use in game and practicality than previous iterations of this feature. Otherwise, gets a solid meh from me.
As long as it doesnt detract from the game, doesnt really matter to me. Its there if I want to use it, big deal.
"Without wanting to start a “fanboy war”, I can’t help but think how a similarly-designed game would have performed on Xbox 360. Would it have sold anywhere close to 3.5 million copies worldwide, either now or, say, in 2010? Would Microsoft have been up to the task to push the 360 as a must-have device to play such a game, as Sony has with Naughty Dog’s latest?"
Great question. Its hard to say. Obviously the quality speaks for itself and no matter what console/comp ...

but if there is no existing infrastructure to fill that necessity it would have fallen flat very quickly.
I mean after all there was no incentive to create one. Maybe if it had released with plans for a whole used market it would be different. Even then i have a feeling that prices would be artificially inflated, just because "they still need to make a profit"
Digital game rentals on the other hand...
I went on a gaming binge recently. The Last of Us, 400 Days, State of Decay, Dead Space 3, Bioshock Infinite, plus a ton of older ones I got on sale.
Its been a good year for games
On the flip, just because an 8 hour game is artificially padded with thousands of pointless, repetitive side missions, it does not mean you have added quality to the game because it is longer now.
I agree with the unavoidable character deaths. Some felt unnecessary. Yes, i get that no one is safe with the zombie apocalypse but why should it matter (as a player) how i treat XX if they are going to die anyway and never be mentioned again. For me thats just sloppy storytelling.
But then again this is the thing with games that brag your decisions impact the game. The developers first and foremost have a story to tell, and they will create the game around that. Constants an...
I know that was a "personal choice" article, but I am going to have to disagree on about half of those games being on that list.
Sure, most of them were not perfect games, but they were far from being the disasters he makes them out to be.
That was the intention though. For whatever reason they did not want to, or could not compete with GTA as a "serious/realistic" game.
I think it fills a nice niche. People LOVE to do goofy stuff in GTA (huge explosions, unrealistic mods) that Saints Row picks up on.
Its super fun in its own right, comparing it to GTA is apples and oranges
@iGAM3R-VIII
Yea how dare people speak something other than English on the internet! They should really learn proper manners and stop being so inconsiderate. /s
Does it even matter that the original article is in Portuguese? Show some respect
Interesting. Probably not the game I would have chosen, but still looks like a pretty exciting game.
Good stories do not necessarily have happy endings. If we want video games as a medium to be taken seriously as potential art, we should not cry foul every time we don't get our way with an ending we want.
Doesn't matter if you "work" for a happy ending, it doesn't mean you deserve one, nor does the story even need one.
Video games have spoiled us with always finding the right castle to save the princess in the end. It is refreshing to s...
Its too popular NOT to make a sequel or a spiritual successor.
I'm not sure how exactly they will do DLC (for example missions that will lead up to a sequel or simply back track over their journey), but it stands to reason this isn't the last we have seen of these amazing characters.
Its possible they will give us new characters in a sequel whose stories overlap Joel and Ellie's (during of after the game) or even before the events of TLOU.
Misleading title
Golly gee! A whole poster?
The Pikmin series was amazing back in the gamecube days.
My little sisters would eagerly watch me play, and we made sure never to lose a single pikmin. That game bonded us more than any family vacation for some reason.
I just don't have any desire to get a wii- u. despite all the fun games its just not a fit for me.
I wish sometime in the next console cycle, Nintendo will expand to other consoles. A pipe dream but....
