I am considering getting this since it is relatively cheap. Been out of the handheld market for too long. Though I outgrew it, but evidently not :p

Is the 3d on the 3ds worth the extra 40 dollars though?

Excited for this. Hope it will be everything people wanted Dead Island to be and more.

Though I have a feeling I am going to more interested in the parkour than killing zombies. Seems like such an obvious game mechanic in a survival game :p

Its great that the X1 can actually handle all these changes as a system, but Microsoft has to get their act together to be honest.

Separate the machine from the company for a moment and you realize that Microsoft isn't sure what to focus on with it, despite all its capabilites. Sure it can do X, Y, and Z, but Microsoft approaches it like this:

"The X1 can do X!"
(A few months and upset gamers later) "And Y!"
"Did ...

They should allow the community to test and demo upcoming games. If the community supports and likes them (which indie games already rely on) then they get moved up to the front of the market place.

The genre lends itself to that. Post-apocalyptic stories go a certain way because they are supposed to a reflection of our human nature when society breaks down so you will have bandits and madmen, and people struggling to survive. There is only so much you can surmise will happen to us when the world ends.

Then "man is the greatest enemy" trope which NEEDS to be touched on in a story like this, otherwise it misses the biggest conflict.

The reason t...

Nah more like annoyed than self conscious.

Like the user up top who said hes getting an X1 and has a ton of disagrees. Like did strangers not agree that's the console hes going to get? XD

4587d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Man I wish I could get both, but just like this generation, I probably will never get around to or have the funds for it.

I know I'll get disagrees, but prob the X1 for me. I know that makes me stupid/evil or whatever, but I am going to have fun with it, and thats what matters.

And I hope other people enjoy their console no matter their choice.

At least in Hardcore mode in CoD multiplayer, they have a similar system.

You can take some damage, but when you recover you only have 50% health.

I don't know how well it would work in single player in some games though. Since many swarm you with enemies, it would get frustrating dying so quick.

I remember in a lot of older shooter games that had health packs, the most frustrating thing is when it would save you in a spot where you have ...

@Wraith

the point is not whether or not the game is "good" but creative (as evidenced by the gameplay trailer) which is why i listed it with skyrim and TLOU.

@Gentlemen
The point is, are they not still releasing titles for popular franchises? That means they are "milking" it by how you defined creativity.

Sure they might not release a grand theft auto every year, but they are working on multiple other series whi...

Right, thats why we literally have hundreds of unique and great IPs across every system.

Thats why we have games like TLOU or GTAV or Skyrim. Or even the "indie" market with games like Braid or Limbo.

The gaming market realizes there is no money in games without creativity. Hell people might hate on COD, but you would be ignoring relatively innovative changes that reinvented its multi player.

If they shoveled literally the same th...
