We moved from a $60,000 rig showing a Ray Traced demo to a $1,200 single consumer-grade card showing the same demo at higher frames in less than 2 years.
Either educate yourself, or at least be grateful for the early adopters who push technology forward. I bet you would have whined about 4K as well when it dropped in 2013 for $5,000.
Nope, Microsoft's UWP is different than 'just digital,' you really don't own your games--you are just renting an encrypted app, which you can't modify nor access its files. That goes against everything PC is about. They are trying to merge the much-open platform, PC, with their console's closed ecosystem.
Yup, imagine the outrage if the protagonist was a woman (Kotaku would have made umpteen articles about it), but since it is a guy, it is all virtual and funny.
If they would treat this like A Way Out, I would definitely get them.
Now the only other thing left is to see whether 'die-hard' fans support them or just stay vocal on the Internet.
