UE4 is popular and easier to start with (have tons and tons of support and community-made contents and toturials); it is not better. In my opinion, technically, CRYENGINE is better.
The same can be applied to UE4 and Unity 3D (which is more popular thanks to mobile gaming). Everyone I know who isn't involved in mobile game development condemn Unity as the shittiest engine of the three.
It might have started as a low budget, but it crossed $1 billion Dollars on PC alone, and they have added nothing worthy of attention other than new maps and small fixes (one map in 9 months, that is).
To be honest, I don't care! Obsidian is a competent developer, with the right budget, they can make great games. And I can't wait to play this game. I would say, Microsoft got themselves a gem by purchasing this studio, and I hope they put them to good use.
Look, starchild, even if Bloodborne 2 could be released on PC, Sony won't allow it since Bloodborne was the best PS4 Seller Sony ever had (until Spider-Man came along). And without Sony's investment, we wouldn't have had Bloodborne, in the first place.
