That's because developers aren't utilising higher read/write speeds. Same as 8+ cores CPUs. When next-generation consoles arrive, and developers start utilising that new hardware, PC gaming will see much better yields (that's why consoles matter and have a significant impact on PC gaming, still).
M.2 is just a form factor. It means nothing other than the way the SSD connects to the Motherboard. It supports SATA, PCIe, and NVMe interfaces. There are M.2 SSDs that perform worse than top SATA 2.5" ones. NVMe PCIe is what you're looking for.
@sleepyhead62, Forza Horizon is part arcade part sim (leaning more towards arcade to be accessible for everyone; think 70-30). Need for Speed is pure arcade.
What the heck are you talking about? Yes, the franchise has been pummeling in quality in recent years, but Need for Speed is still the best arcade-y racing game around.
Don't tell me you haven't met people like Randy. I know at least four persons like Randy (one living in the same building). He is a scumbag. Plain and simple. I would take a child's word over Randy's.
I know defamation all too well (happened to my father), but Randy doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt.
It's funny that so many people say gameplay over graphics (either here or elsewhere); yet the very first comments about any new game footage/trailer are always about graphics.
