OMG Sonic Computer Entertainment, now that's a great re-brand for Sega. :D
You'll probably have to pay import tax on top of that too. I had to for my PSP all those years ago.
It could be simply that Japanese gamers didn't like FF13 all that much, and don't think a sequel will be any good either. Also, it looks like direct sequels seem to sell less for Square Enix anyway, because FFX-2 sold about half a million less than FFX, granted though that FFX was an immensely better game.
@above - LOL
On topic - Great to see that someone in the industry finally said it. HHG gets waaayy too much hate, and most of it is simply because of the colour of his skin, which is unacceptable. If you disagree with his style of journalism, that's a different matter.
@morganfell- basically, less than 25k, but we don't know the exact number.
Wow, it didn't even chart. That's insane, I honestly expected the top two spots to be FF13-2, although this only includes about 3 days worth of sales.
CG movies better on PS3, gameplay and cutscenes seem same on both.
@WhiteLightning - Those are only British comedians though, there are quite a lot of good American comedians too. Also, you missed out the funniest (well imo) British comedian, Peter Kay, but Dara is good too.
Pachter did a show about this on Gametrailers and basically he said that the Class Action suit will result in you making like a few pennies (per PSN member), whereas the lawyers will take millions. So there's no point in doing it.
@darth - How big is the air compressor? The one we had at work was pretty big, and I wouldn't be able to store that anywhere other than the garage.
My PS3 died last week playing Skyrim too, luckily it was my backup PS3 as I had already transferred everything (other than Skyrim saves :( ) to another PS3. Now I'm trying to get it fixed and hopefully I can take the saves off. Then I will try and get a PS3 Slim to replace it, if there is a cheap deal.
@TopDudeMan - It will, at the very least, hopefully mean that the game is not extremely slow like Bayonetta was on PS3 pre-patch.
Catchy name.
even the hair is identical!
It sounds a lot better than FF13 from the reviewers' comments. Especially regarding sidequests and conversation options.
He is probably right though, announcing a game at the VGAs guarantees a certain audience. An audience that probably wouldn't watch an E3 live stream or something like that, so if you want a game to go mainstream straight away, VGAs is the way to go it seems.
It was really obvious that Skyrim would win, I was saying it all week. If everyone is talking about a game, it's pretty clear that it'll win GOTY. Also helps that it came out around the awards timeframe.
@Blacktric - Konami assured us that this was totally an MGS game. That is the reason I have issue with some of the stuff in this trailer. It'll probably be a fine game, but doesn't feel like MGS from this trailer.
Ok so just watched it, and being a huge fan of MGS games, I'm not impressed. Platinum Games make games with great gameplay, but their stories ALWAYS suck (going back to DMC1 even, which was a great game), and this looks exactly the same. MGS is all about story, but they've totally chees-ified it. Even the colours and the environments look nothing like a Metal Gear game, as it's overall a little too bright.
I'll probably still play it, but I doubt it will feel ...
I dunno about anyone else, but every bit of launch information that I hear about PS Vita annoys me more and more. At first, it seemed well worth the price, but without a memory card with the handheld, it's just not worth it.
