While I agree that not all PS3 exclusives are amazing, the vast majority that are first party tend to be. So looking forward to this, more-so than Modnation Racers, which had horrible load times.

Considering it started out at $999, this is pretty big news for PS3.

I'm happy they at least mentioned Jeanne D'Arc, by far the my favourite PSP game. I wish they do a sequel for consoles.

Still one more quarter to report yet, which will probably see around 2 million sales. Still 14 million in the year is not too shabby.

Jaffe did say himself that Europeans tend not to like TM, are you European?

Prediction: Tribal 3DS coming within 2 years :D.

Damn Nintendo know how to milk a redesign, also good way to keep focus on 3DS with upcoming launch of vita.

No, Squeenix, just no. FF13 is one of the worst (that doesn't mean it's completely bad, I enjoyed it) main FFs ever made. If you're going to do a sequel to something, do it for the better FFs! It just makes sense. Also FF7 remake or GTFO.

I doubt their investors would agree with you.

They cut their 3DS forecast, so it is not selling as much as they expected it to. Loss is mainly from strong yen, also a lot of it is probably from Wii U R&D

Wii U IS USING BLU-RAY!

Sorry for the caps, but the Wii U is using an unlicensed version of Blu-Ray, meaning it will only support one layer (25GB), and no movies on the system. Also, Nintendo aren't allowed to use the Blu-Ray logo or call the discs Blu-Ray, but the technology is the same. Nintendo did the same thing this gen with the DVD (I know, its pretty cheap).

If MS licenses the Blu-Ray, then they will be able to play movies and use multiple layers o...

@blaaah - If they were working on a SNES add-on, don't you think that there early PS1 concept would have looked a lot like a SNES? That's just common sense. Then they redesigned it to look different, simple as that.

@Gaming Bolt - Seen these a few years ago, pretty sure it was on N4G too.

NOOOOO. I WANT DARKSIDERS 2!!!

/caps

I hate Nintendo, Darksiders would have been scheduled for March, but because of their crappy Wii-U, the ONE game I was super excited for from THQ is going to be delayed till the end of the year most likely, IF it even releases.

360 version has a higher contrast, but both versions look pretty good.

I wish Capcom would make a damn next-gen Onimusha game already, it would be epic.

@Ryan - There are multiple endings for Heavy Rain, it is by far the best game to match your needs, so I'd highly recommend it.

@LevelHead - If you honestly think that anyone is reading my comments and are being misled, then I'm sorry. But the fact of the matter is that retail games sell more than PSN games for that SAME reason, because the need for internet as well as an account on PSN/XBL/Steam/Whatever is enough to put consumers off. This story is why Sony say digital only is not possible right now, and that is the reason. As well as the retail reason which I mentioned before.

If the internet/a...

But you need it to download them, and to download the multitude of updates that come out for the games. I do have a steam account, so I know. Just the fact that you need an internet connection, need to make an account, is enough to make most consumers confused. Consoles make it extremely easy to play games, that is why they're successful

5294d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

@NYC - true, but then Sony also has to keep retailers happy, which Steam does not have to, because it is just a piece of software. If PlayStation was a piece of software, they could easily be digital-only, but they have to rely on retailers to sell their hardware and the games and peripherals etc. So they have to keep them in the loop, which is why the download prices are higher for the full games.

Steam and console are completely different things. Consoles need to allow people to play game offline, Steam means that you are forced to have internet in order to play the games or download the games.

Digital-only is not ready for the mainstream, Steam users are NOT mainstream. The proof for this is the fact that downloadable titles on the PSN sell way way less than retail games for the most part.

Yeah it's taking about streaming the whole OS so you can even stream windows software through it, a bit like virtual pc

@gamingdroid - Not that I'm doubting the numbers MS gave, 9 million in 4 months is very doable, all I'll say is that MS has been caught lying or shall we say exaggerating their numbers before. I'd wait for the fiscal reports to get the full details personally.
