@ronin - well the 3DS has been out for over a year, which means it already has a good backlog of games, more than the Vita, and is much cheaper than the Vita. So of course it will sell more. Also COD will look miles better on Vita if it is multiplat across the handhelds and the experience will be much truer on the Vita, so it will still have a significant advantage in the West because of that.
Maybe it's an autoblog?
I agree with everything you said Logic, except the bit where "people think [COD] is 360 exclusive". Microsoft certainly have tried, and Pachter seems to think they've succeeded, but nobody thinks it's exclusive. It sells way too much on PS3, and it's more correct to say that people prefer to play it on 360 because that is essentially the "shooter" console due to its controller.
Microsoft are going to continue with their approach to get 3rd part...
Well those who are claiming that it won't, forget to take into account that November is the best selling month for games consoles. So even if it sells 500k each month worldwide, it could do 6 million in November alone.
Also, it's all about software, and launch line-ups are never that good. COD Vita will most likely hit this year, and as the software gets better and better, you'll see more and more sales. If the Vita gets Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy in Japan =...
KZ3 was in no way a bad game, but I actually liked the weight of the guns and the momentum they had. It made the game feel different to other generic shooters, and I actually wish they didn't remove that weighty feel in hindsight.
It wasn't even a hindrance like a lot of the crying fanbabies said, easy to get used to. Of course, fanboys don't know the difference between a weighty feel and input lag, so they claimed it was input lag.
This games sounds more and more intriguing, some great talent behind it.
Honestly, I doubt that is the reason. People just want to own physical copies of their stuff, because otherwise you have to rely on the service provider to keep the games online at all times. Which will never happen, because they'll always remove a game if it allows you to hack a system or something like that.
From that list, Tomb Raider is soo gonna fail if it comes out in November. Maybe Bioshock is delayed because GTAV is coming out around the holiday season?
There'll probably be a lot of people who have no idea that they're even making this game, and that the development team is different in any way.
Heavenly Sword actually had a pretty fun concept, just the combat was not very responsive. I think if Sony Santa Monica made a sequel for it, it would be awesome.
You can't technically win E3, but for the past few years, gamers have gotten their hopes up for Nintendo's conferences and been severely disappointed. So we probably shouldn't believe the hype.
It's also worth noting that Sony are announcing so many exclusives before E3, which means they feel confident that they have enough to make a big splash AT E3. Think about it.
Also what about MS? MS could steal the show if they announce an Xbox 720, whi...
I don't think anyone doubts that there isn't a chance, LaChance, but most people are hoping it doesn't happen because it will affect the composition of the game and make it take even longer.
I find it kinda stupid that people seem to forget that he works for Nintendo. Of course he's not going to say "PS Vita is awesome" because it is directly competing with the 3DS!
It sounds pretty good when you say it like that. I wonder if they're looking at PS All Stars and taking some inspiration from that too
I'm quite surprised at that, but I also think that Japanese gamers don't exactly know what to expect from that game, so Capcom may get a bit of a backlash from them.
But you said that they would bundle 1 years worth of gold into the cost of the new 360, meaning it would be free for those people for a year. That's not the case, you'll still be paying $15 a month for 24 months, which includes the cost of XBL. So it's not bundled for free any amount of time, which is what that comment suggested.
Except it's not free, so your prediction was completely inaccurate.
@Logic - It's such a stupid article because PlayStation is making money. If it was still losing money, I'd agree with you. But lets look at the facts:
1 - PlayStation division is one of the few divisions at Sony that is making money.
2 - Kaz Hirai is now in charge of the business, who has worked at PlayStation for years.
3 - Kaz's 'One Sony' ideology puts Gaming as one of the three core elements of the future of Sony, why would they ever ge...
I hope they have a co-op horde mode type-of-thing as well. But it looks pretty interesting for objective based multiplayer, kinda hopefully they have multiple objectives like Killzone 3 multiplayer.
Yeah, it's not that hard to envision.
