I totally agree with you, the Japanese have a strange taste. WiiFit is not a game, Nights is also aimed at younger children (which is what you expect of the Wii install base). Would like to see how it does in US/EU
Miyamoto is either really stupid and hasn't heard of R&C, or he's very arrogant. And if they were experimenting with spherical worlds/anti-gravity after Super Mario 64, shouldn't the Gamecube Mario (I think Super Mario Sunshine?) have had spherical worlds/anti-gravity.
Also Insomniac is also arrogant for thinking that Galaxy is a copy of R&C, it's completely different.
Yeah I completed Assassin's Creed, it was a good game but it was very repetitive, the same 3 types of missions over and over again. However I would probably have enjoyed it a lot more if I didn't rent it and have to finish it within 3 days.
I hope they make the sequel better, I mainly hope they change the fighting mechanics, way to rigid and slow paced.
wow the Wii lost 26% and the DS gained 27% that's crazy, must be low stock for the Wii so parents started buying DS as a Christmas gift instead.
Futuristic shooters? Lol.
This isn't because the game is bad, Uncharted is definitely one of the best games on PS3 now, it's just that it hasn't been marketed much in UK, I haven't seen one ad on TV so how will it sell?
Also it doesn't help when you compare a games 24 hour sales, with other games' 7 day sales
Uncharted is good, but I want a new Jak & Daxter, it was my favourite platformer for PS2 (the first one, the other 2 weren't that good)
I didn't realise GT5: Prologue was coming out this early, can't wait for the EU version. Also where is the home beta (I know it won't count on the release list)??? Seriously, I completely forgot about it, but weren't we meant to get it by the end of the year?
Lol, and every level in Jericho
I had to read this sentence like a million times, it doesn't make sense:
"After speaking to the developers at the Video Game Awards, they confirmed with TheGameReviews, that the long assumed date of 2009."
It seems like there is meant to be more information after 2009, like:
"After speaking to the developers at the Video Game Awards, they confirmed with TheGameReviews, that the long assumed date of 2009, is correct"
^ go play one of the other games on that list now!!!!
Max payne is awesome, but I really hated that nightmare level. I also hate any level you have to do underwater in almost every game, it's so annoying.
Why would anyone buy a stand-alone Blu-Ray player, when you could get a PS3 with Blu-Ray player included? It's cheaper, and has all the same functionality
This guy knows nothing I totally agree with you, he just said what everyone already knew, obviously there is only going to be one winning format.
Final Fantasy X did sell a million PS2s in Japan in when it was launched, so I can see that happening again. Also I can see a big boost in sales for PS3 when MGS4 comes out, it will be a system seller, as MGS2 was for PS2.
They are both good, I have both, but had a PSP first so always wanted to go to the other side. The DS has a lot of games, but a lot of them are just flash games you can get for PC, but that isn't my problem with it.
Once you get used to the PSP XMB and you get a DS you realise how good the PSP actually is, the DS seems so primitive compared to the PSP firmware. When you get one you will understand, it's got some great games like Zelda and Advance Wars etc though.
I fail to see how Mass Effect was a masterpiee in the first place, it is basically a shooter/RPG, except that the dialogue is actually spoken unlike normal RPGs, but wasn't that done in FFX to a certain extent anyway? I realised then how annoying it was to wait for the person to finish talking when usually you could read it yourself quicker.
I would say it deserves higher than 7 probably around 8.5, but it's amazing how Microsoft can hype up a game when it isn't that gret.
Jeff Gerstmann was the least biased person in GameSpot. He was standing up for his review score, to a game that isn't very good 6.0 is more than enough. I can't believe they fired him, there's no point ever going to Gamespot anymore, he was the only good unbiased reviewer.
finally...hopefully they will give us a decent upload rate aswell
@rooftrellen - FF3 is a pile of crap, honestly it has the worst (old) levelling system and the story is so bad, you don't even get to know about your characters, you're just thrown in to a battle. That is really bad in an RPG.
I haven't played FF6 or 7, but I've heard they are good, don't know which is better, although I really liked FF8. 8 was the last good one IMO.
@Jason 360 - Every market matters, the fact is that if the console doesn't sell well in Japan then Japanese developers won't make games for that console, and also some Western developers won't release games for it in Japan (which I think has happened to a game on 360 already). Which means even less people will buy the console in that region.
The consoles need to sell relatively well everywhere. And also nowadays the "worldwide" market is a little bigger than last gen ...
Why is Star Wars on that list???
