oh you guys are right, I didn't read the title correctly. It's 1 weeks sales not a month. In that case PS3 is doing really well.
PSN's gamertag feature is EXACTLY like Live's, you make one name and then no one can take it, you are either ignorant of PSNs features or someone has been feeding you lies. Don't know about the Wii's.
Some of these "Things it Does Best" are ridiculous. How can you say that the Downloads are better because they automatically install? the only difference with the that and the PS3 downloads is that you have to click install, which is not a problem and is better in a way because you can choose when you want to install something. For example if you wanted to switch off your console, you can't if it is auto installing like on the 360.

@1.4/1.5 - I also heard this a while back, Valve said that Orange Box used about 90% of the 360s resources and about 30% of the PS3 resources. But most likely they didn't optimise the code for the 360 version much, and had to optmiise it for the PS3, also the PS3 is technically more powerful (8 cell chips).
I am much more likely to buy Resistance 2 than Killzone, because the first Resistance was fantastic so it can only get better, dunno how killzone is going to be.
360 only outsold the ps2 by 1k, PS3 sales are still surprisingly high. Still even outselling the 360 by 44k each month is not enough really, it needs to sell a lot more to catch up quicker. Nice to see that PS3 is selling well though, atleast it puts a bit of pressure on MS to make more games.
wageslave makes a lot of sense. 360 does have a higher install base so GTA4 should sell a lot more on the 360, however it all depends on whether 360 owners like GTA.
If I was going to buy this game I would get the PS3 version, just because it grew to it's high status on the PS2. But I don't really like GTA (the old ones anyway), unless this one is drastically different I doubt I'll be buying it on launch day. Who gives a crap whether the install is 20 mins or an hour? Seriously all you have to do is put the disc in and press install, it's not like you have to watch it install! Just change the channel...
I've honestly never like Twisted Metal, I would prefer if Jaffe did more epic games like he did with God Of War. But I see that a lot of people like this type of game.
he just says its in danger of falling behind...and he is right...PS3 offers so much mroe than 360...for less money. 360 only has XBL to use as an attack against PS3...but it really isnt worth paying for IMO
PS3 is already region free, and I believe the PS2 sold so much because it was hacked very quickly and relatively easily. If the PS3 is hacked it will be like the PSP scene, constantly needing a custom firmware.
However I have learned that you shouldn't trust PS3NEWS so quickly, they have (many, many times) claimed to have hacked something falsely so don't believ them just yet. If they are telling the truth they should release the decrypter to the public (which they won't).
It is a kids game, although a lot of older people like it too. It was kinda expected that this would sell well, all you had to do was look at Super Mario Galaxy sales and SSSB would sell as much, if not more as it is a very popular fighting game.
Worst list ever no God Of War, ICO, Shadow of The Colossus. And Soul Calibur 1 was the only good Soul Calibur, Tekken is a million times better.

It's good to see that Sony made a profit last quarter, but they sold 4.9 Million so it was expected, although I thought it would have been a lot more profit.
Porting the game to Wii would completely ruin the game, it is going to be great graphically on the PS3, but porting to the Wii will completely ruin it, although it would probably still sell a lot.

So basically MS marketed a HD-DVD drive and poor xbox owners that bought are hung out to dry, because they were talking to blu-ray as well. If I had bought a HD-DVD drive for my 360, I would be even more pissed now(obviously being pissed before due to Warner stuff).
Basically MS gave up on HD-DVD from the beginning and sold HD-DVD drives for profit to some poor saps
OK, all the demos we download off PSN, and the Patches come in s PKG file...which is an encrypted munge file i.e. it contains other files within it.
So, now that the hackers jave managed to open the file...they know whats inside...and if they figure out to rebuild it back into a PKG file...then they can put their own data into the PKG...and maybe launch other games or homebrew.
Very true, but also think about the flip-side, what would happen to the Hardware sales, they would go through the roof. The 360 and Wii are pretty much already hackable, but there software sales are still pretty high and so are PS2 software sales when that is also very easily hackable.
The main problem with this "Hack" is that the PS3 HDD is formatted in FAT, so there is a 4GB file limit, meaning that it will be very hard (if not impossible) to play an ISO off the HDD...
