@theKiller - but I think the 360 has been selling less than the PS3 in the UK anyway so 125% increase is still a lot lower than 127% on PS3. I would have thought there would be an even greater impact on HW sales though.
I played a bit of the single player campaign, and it is good but not great. It reminds me of Turok, except much better, but in a way Turok was better because the leaves moved when you walk into them, that doesn't happen in this.
On the other hand, nice to see they kept R1 as the main fire button, the gameplay itself is pretty good and the guns etc feel effective unlike in Turok. I would expect the online to be much better than the single player hopefully.
Woah that is a lot later than I expected. I exxpect this is partly due to dev problems and partly due to the fact that Hype is much greater around Resistance 2
erm...the background is Persian (Iranian) not Arabic, and Persians became Muslims so it makes sense to have a Mosque in the background. Granted the Mosque isn't using Persian architecture, but there are a lot of different styles.
The Wii is a great concept, but Nintendo has completely messed it up. I mean can you imagine a Wii with the graphical capability of the PS3, that would be amazing. It is obvious that Nintendo is withholding stock, remember during christmas the stock of Wii's jumped by hundreds of thousands in a day.
Obviously the RRoD is worse than a game locking up, because if the game locks up 90% of the time you just restart the game and it will work. The RRoD can happen at any time and with any game, leaving you consoleless for weeks atleast. Plus a lockup can be fixed with just a patch.
I have the 360 GTA4 but haven't experienced any problems, but I am not going online so maybe all the problems are to do with online.
I don't own a Wii (just PS360 at the moment), but I've heard of the problems regarding the complex Friend codes, lack of a centralised online infrastructure etc. So I don't know much about the online, but a Pay-to-Play service is basically a subscription service, although I am guessing it will be very cheap compared to Xbox Live I doubt it will be even as good as the PSN.
Big mistake. Nintendo's online service isn't even on par with PSN (which I don't think is that bad), but what's worse is Sony seem to be trying to improve the PSN service all the time, with the development of Home, and the new PSN store. Nintendo hasn't improved their already too complicated online service at all, this is just going to push away the people that actually use the online at all.
The HDD is a good idea, but it shouldn't have been an after thought in my opinion.

The fact of the matter is that MS is pulling this statistic out of their ass, last I checked we don't have the exact numbers, and we have a guestimate from VGChartz of 60-40 in favour of the 360 (which we have no idea if it includes bundles, or preorders).
So at the moment this news is a rumour, or bullshit unless the numbers can be substantiated by the NPD numbers.
If MS did this it would make the 360 cost more than the PS3. It is a useless function on the 360, the reason the PS3 has it is because it also uses the Blu-Ray drive for games, not only movies.
If the 360 had it and you never watched Blu-ray movies it would be a waste of $100+ because they will never make a Blu-Ray game for the 360, it would make all the current 360 owners Xvox360s obsolete.
It makes no snese to put it internal now, they should do an addon that ...

I don't think it is the brand assocoiation that is selling the consoles. I think it is more that people promised themselves they would buy a PS3 when GTA4 came out. Same way most Japanese people will buy one when FF13 comes out.

I don't see the problem with having many Final Fantasy games. At the end of the day it's just a name, the only Final Fantasy game that was actually a sequel was FFX-2, every other game is different, has different characters, different stories (a little similar), different gameplay, better graphics etc. The name is a franchise, they could easily call the game something else and it would not sell as much.
The same can't be said about other milked franchises that have same charact...
Some of the stuff is very true, which is the reason why I don't want to buy the Wii. There is only one game out on the Wii that I would even play and that is Super Mario Galaxy, and even that doesn't look that good.
Does anyone know whether these include Pre-orders or Bundle sales?
Truthful review, the game probably isn't great, but its better than a 4.2, I'm sure it deserves at least 6. But he has said that the game was too difficult for him, and that's pretty much the main reason for the low score, but seen as he has played most of the Mario games it is quite a shock that he would give it such low score.
It's quite strange that every other site gives the edge to PS3, and for some reason people keep saying the colours are more vibrant on the 360 but they look a bit better on the PS3 to me.
I've got the 360 version and the texture pop in is VERY noticable, I don't know what it's like on the PS3 version.
