@above - nobody said that "Year of PS3" means PS3 sells more, for all we know that meant that there would be fantastic exclusive games out for PS3 in 2008, and there have been (and still a few to come for some regions). In that respect 2008 was the "Year of the PS3" and judging from next years lineup (compared to 360/Wii's) it looks like that will be the "Year of the PS3" as well.

Sony said no price cut in 08 because they couldn't afford it, but by March 09 they should be able to afford it which is why it would be extremely stupid to announce a price cut now. If they announced it now, everyone would wait until March to buy a PS3 = no sales at Christmas.
It's like when they were playing down rumble so they could scare Immersion into a cheap rumble deal...

Also @ this story - Home is pretty good, surprisingly lag-free, but shopping center is completely dead, and the theatre takes a long time to load stuff.

I wouldn't trust famitsu scores any more, they gave Blue Dragon a ridiculously high score, and also I think they gave Nintendogs 40/40, and they gave Haze something like 35/40.
TLR is good, but it is no way an 8, I would give it a 7-7.5 max, there are too many problems with the game. As tocrazed4you said it feels like you have no control over how the battles go, although they do have a little QTE thing (similar to the battles in LO). Battles are confusing at first, bit you get us...
I don't understand this score, Edge must be retarded or something. If they gave Halo 3 10/10 it must be because of the multiplayer, and I can only see the reason for them giving 8/10 to Bioshock because there is no multiplayer.
So how the f*** does R2 deserve such a low score? The online is better than the last game, plus there is co-op, the graphics are much better and the single-player is pretty good. The only reason I can see is that these guys are xbox fanboys/halo fanboys. ...
Yeah but when you see someone with 100% on Wipeout you know they must be an awesome gamer. Hopefully this update can fix an issue I've been having, for some reason I can't unlock the "Airbraker" trophy and I've reached zone 63 max. Tried a lot of times and it just doesn't unlock for me, I even tried deleting the save (well I copied it to another profile I have and then deleted it).
Exactly, Lol, this game does not deserve 5/5 cos it sucks. And personally I don't trust Brad's reviews for any game, he always gives 360 games high scores cos he is a complete xbox fanboy. I only trust reviews from Jeff an Ryan from GiantBomb because they are the least biased.
@earwax - lol you retard there's always hundreds of people playing warhawk, shows what you know. Also whether the service is being paid for or not will not affect the information on how many accounts there are on either PSN or XBL.
I'd expect that 14 million number to be too high for both PSN and XBL, on PSN myself I have 4 accounts (UK, USA, JAP, AU), and on XBL if they are counting Silver accounts as well then it would also be a lower value.
2008 has been a very good year if you're a PS3 gamer, and 2009 seems like it will be even better. Especially since we should see the release of God Of War 3, Killzone 2, White Knight Chronicles (in EU/US), Gran Turismo 5, Ratchet & Clank 2, Uncharted 2 (Or Jak 5) maybe even a Team ICO game etc.
Simply put, this game is not great, but if you want a Karaoke game for your 360 the only option is this really (although Rockband kinda has a Karaoke element).
The name sucks imo, Lips just sounds stupid.

Sony pictures is a really big studio, a bit of a blow to MS but doesn't XBL already have Sony Pictures movies available to rent anyway?
This has always been the worry for me, which unlike all the xbox fanboys, I knew this day would eventually come so if my 360 dies 1 day after the 3 year warranty runs out, then I'm f***ed. And all the MS fanboys were like "but...but...MS gave a free 3 year warranty for RROD out of good will", more like because it was the cheapest and least destructive option for their business, and even after 3 years the piece of sh1t RROD is still not fixed!
I just hope I don't get RRo...

You know what...I don't believe them at all. There'll probably be a RROD report on the first batches of Jaspers as well.
I hope they do get it fixed, and send everyone with a current 360 a Jasper one instead.
