I can't remember which podcast, but on the podcast they play through games that got high acclaim but they didn't get time to play them, and one week they were playing through Farenheit/Indigo Prophecy.

@1.7 - wtf is wrong with you, 1.5 is telling the truth. MS had a 2 game deal with Epic for Gears of War, meaning Gears of War 3 is open for a platform at the moment. So it could end up being Multi-platform, but I really really doubt it would be exclusive to PS3 (because Sony doesn't have enough money to pay for that, especially when they are concentrating on their own studios)
@FirstKnighT - once again xbox fanboys come into a PS3 story and talk crap. See I can do it too. Btw I do have a 360 and have played the whole of Halo 3, and can safely say that R1 does look better and plays better than Halo 3 (especially regarding the single-player mode).
Yeah man R1 looks bad, but still looks better than Halo 3, which is Bungie's 3rd attempt at FPS as opposed to Insomniacs first attempt at FPS ever.
I can see why this guy wrote this article, the game is very accessible even for newbies to the series like me. It could easily have been called Fallout and been just as effective as a separate game, but it is very similar to the previous games (from what I've seen in the retrospectives) so it does link to the first few games in that way.
Yeah this would be pretty awesome if it lets you download directly to your HDD, also if it is a PS3 software (so it's on your XMB) rather than a web-based one, that would be awesome
@theExecutive - It had to be a 0.5 reduction because Gamespot changed their grading scheme a while back to only do 0.5 increments - so even if it only deserved 1 point knocking off (so it was 8.9) they have to put it down to 8.5 because they can't do it any higher than that.

@Fallen Angel - GTA exclusivity, Rockstar devs did say when making GTA4 that DVD9 was not enough for the game, also Sony still has that Rockstar exclusivity deal (which the game has not been announced yet.)
GeOW3, Epic had a contract with MS which said that they would make 2 exlusive games for them in the Gears of War series, meaning the 3, 4, 5 whatever are still open platform at the moment. I can see GeOW3 being multi plat.

Most likely these sales are Fable 1 fanboys that have been waiting for the game for years. If you've never played Fable before and you're thinking of getting this game, think twice, cos it's a Love it or Hate it kinda game.
I expect 1-2million worldwide sales, mostly in US, don't think it will do as well in Japan.

I hate all these guys that say 9/10 or above for a game means it is AAA. That's just retarded. Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank are two of the best games I've played this gen and aren't 90%+ on Metacritic, GTA4 and Halo 3 are and they definitely do not deserve to be called AAA (and yes I've played both but I gave up on GTA4, Halo 3 was quite good, but not great imo).

I don't have Live, but I prefer the previous two games, and I hate the direction this one has gone in. I can see why they changed the game, to make it different to the previous ones, but I would have been much happier with a simple platformer...:(
