Personally I'd like to see them do something completely different to Warhawk and Twisted Metal
@chaosatom - Sony has enough money for their own studios, and they own A LOT of game studios. MS doesn't have many 1st party game studios left, all I can think of really are Microsoft Game Studios and Rare, so the rest of their money they spend on acquiring 3rd party exclusives.
You need IE in Windows, otherwise the noobs would have no idea how to get on the internet. In fact the only reason most people do know is cos they read "Internet Explorer" and are like "That must be how you go on internet".
It needs to be in there, I can see the EU's problem with Windows Media Player, cos it's not really needed.
Lol @ "best known to you young bastards as "Qui Gon Jinn"", more like best known to you young bastards as Aslan.
How many times is the same story going to be approved? This is probably the 10th story about 360 being 8m ahead of PS3. Which isn't even accurate, because that number most likely includes consoles that have failed as well, also it's possible that this number is the amount of "shipped" consoles (not saying it's true, but Sony said a while ago that they won't announce shipped numbers anymore, I don't think MS did the same)..
@leila - no prob, i was just trying to prove that 2 years is an over-exaggeration.
Lol true. Sony should just cut the price next Christmas imo, it's not good for the consumer but it would be great for their business.
Also it would be a major shock if they just cut $200 off the price in one go, that would be crazy, but that will never happen lol.
I blame the Israeli government
EDIT: For every problem in the world...
@above - It should do well now, there are a lot more people buying Apple products cos the iPod was such a success. If they release a game console, it would do at least as well as the first Xbox.
I would probably get a Wii if it was cheaper, I just don't see it worth buying at it's current price (even though it is cheaper than PS3, just doesn't represent the same value), cos there are only a handful of good games (SMG, SSBB, Metroid and upcoming MadWorld)
OK examples, I know MS is partly to blame if the delay to US is more than 6 months, but SE shares an equal amount of blame for taking their money (8.6% of which probably ended up in Sony's hands lol) :D.
Crisis Core - Took about 9 months to get to EU
JP - September 13, 2007
NA - March 25, 2008
EU - June 20, 2008
FFX - took about a year to get to EU
JP - July 19, 2001
NA - December 20, 2001
INT - January 31, 2002
Where is the story about MS being accused of being a crazy ex-girlfriend now?
The gaming media are f***in biased, and MS' PR team are f***in retarded, I don't think they realise how bad this makes them look.
@leila - So in your mind it takes 2 years for SE to localise a game to EU? In previous games it has taken them about 6 months to get a US and EU version out, so it's pretty much the same.
The bit I'm worried about is that they say "until at least April 2010", that makes it seem like we won't see an English version of the game until June or July next year.
This story only came about because of the negative effect the 360 has had on the industry, 360 gamers (most of them not all) give more importance to the multi-player part of the game, rather than the single-player.
If you play Halo 3, you'll know what I mean, the single-player campaign isn't even that good or long, people like the multi-player. I wouldn't buy games if they were ONLY multi-player all the time, I got Warhawk, so one game is enough not every game.
I knew it, everyone thought that guy from RPGfan was translating Famitsu when he said "FF13 is expected to release in 2009 on both sides of the pacific", I knew it was just speculation.
Pretty good sales overall for Sony systems, kinda surprised that the 360's dipped so low.
It's not overhyped, it's just hyped a normal amount. GTA4 was overhyped. Difference being that, a lot of people have played the beta of KZ2 and we've seen videos of the gameplay and everyone says it is amazing, GTA4 was overhyped on the cutscenes alone, they showed hardly any gameplay and people thought it was going to be awesome. No beta testers in this one, people even hyped the multi-player saying it will have 15 different modes blah blah blah.
It sucked.
Hopefully he can make Ignition better in choosing which games to publish, publishing Vampire Rain was probably the biggest mistake of their company
@Kevin - they will open up the platform, when PS3 lifecycle is coming to an end in about 4-5 years. Cos then it doesn't matter if the console is hacked to them, they will just make money on the hardware and be working on software for PS4
GT is the best Simulation racer, nothing else feels the same (yes I've played Forza and PGR). I know somebody's going to come in here and say "it doesn't have damage how is it so real?", damage isn't everything.
GT's racing and driving physics are the most real I've ever experienced, Forza and PGR are like Gran Turismo 2, they aren't polished enough imo. Even Prologue which everyone says is just a demo, is better than everything else available.
