@kevincox - I'm pretty sure it's 21.3 million.
Also Sony although doesn't own a controlling stake, does own a significant stake in Square Enix. And also Nomura is a major Sony fan.
I think Square will wait and see how well the 360 version of FFXIII does compared to the PS3 version and then decide whether it is worth doing Versus. I expect Japan sales to have a MAJOR impact on their decision as well, they could probably sell 2 million in Japan very easily.
@slippy - True, but I'm guessing that MS doesn't get as much money from those preloaded copies than if they sold straight to the consumer. But I get what you're saying.
@SlippyMadFrog- I'm not 100% sure about this, but I don't think MS make ANY money from PC games, because publishers don't have to pay a royalty fee for PC games. Also even the use of the "Games For Windows" brand is royalty free according to this article ( http://www.eurogamer.net/ar... Meaning MS doesn't make any money from PC games, which kinda destroys the argument that it's...
@Blaze - You DON'T REMEMBER Halo3 having a lot of hype??? Halo 3 had an insane amount of hype, more than KZ2, and that's saying a lot. And the game was better than average, but not great, but still it got perfect scores across the board because of the hype bias. Same thing with GTA4, except that totally sucked, but again the hype makes teh media biased.
True I don't see MS buying a new studio when it has already closed down many of it's internal studios. And same with Sony, they've cut 8000 jobs so it doesn't make sense for either of them to buy FRD.
Lol, just for hits.
"There's the campaign, which is a fine but forgettable jaunt through a series of FPS clichés." - Wtf is wrong with these reviewers, every FPS out, apart from Portal, is a series of FPS cliches, but they don't get criticised for it.
F***ing biased reviewers, I know the score is good, but saying stuff like that is and giving a good score is an underhanded insult imo.
"Better even than LittleBigPlanet and Metal Gear Solid 4" - That's a matter of opinion really. I guess for the average Xbox owner (shooter lover), KZ2 is much better than MGS4 and LBP. But I dunno, I'd have to play the game to decide, but MGS4 & LBP are damn good.
I personally think that the company that NEEDS a developer like FRD is Nintendo, but it would be great to see some competition for these great devs.
Perfect excuse to miss Work/School/University. If you don't use it you will regret it.
This is pissing me off now, RE4 was good, but no run and gun. This time though Capcom has completely copied GeOW control scheme and it doesn't feel like Resident Evil anymore. I preferred the old view with the fixed camera angle, the game will probably be good, but it won't be survival horror anymore. :(
Just signed this petition, I hope it helps. I don't own a Wii and I don't see myself buying one any time soon, but if I do get one I would like to think that there are atleast a few good games that aren't made by Nintendo.
I agree with Shingo
Gamespot's will be probably 8.5, it almost always is. Reason will be graphics are too good.
I'm still waiting for the fanboy review, the one that will do 2/10 just for hits lol.
Lol, I'm guessing it's because the name "Halo" is in the title. If so, all 5 of you will all be highly disappointed with the game.
If you're buying it because you like RTS on console, then you will probably like this game.
How did this get approved with such a huge spelling mistake in the title? Wtf is "Sanbox"
I am aware that the mistake will probably be fixed soon, but my comment will remain :)
Technically they could just port Chinatown Wars to the iPhone (cos the interface is pretty much the same).
@king dong - True, most people who say that only decided after the multi-platform announcement, but not everyone did. Some people are naturally Nomura fans (FF7/8, Kingdom Hearts maker), and some people just like the more mature look to the game.
@2.5 - I know that, what i meant was that if the game sells a lot in Japan on PS3 alone, it's kinda a waste of time for them to port to 360 at all. But obviously this all depends on the amount of sales from the 360 version (which I'm guessing will be about 1.5 million maybe more)
