It honestly doesn't matter if GOW3 doesn't sell that much, I don't think anyone expects it to sell like Gears or Halo, because it is a completely hardcore M rated game.
But there is flawed logic in this guys arguments, you also need remember the fact that PS2 was one of the most hacked systems ever, whereas the PS3 is the only current gen system to have not been hacked at all. So those 2.5 million sales on PS2 are not really indicative of the fans of the game, because 5 million...
I hope so, but don't Sony risk losing a lot of potential sales? They seem to have started clearing all the stock of current PS3s quite early. Unless the PS3 Slim is released immediately after GamesCom, it seems like they will lose out on a lot of sales.
I've gotta say, very nice release date, again showing that Sony isn't always looking for those holiday $$$. Great games, all year round, should keep PS3 owners happy until God Of War 3 in March.

Numbers are low all around really, decent numbers for Wii Sports Resort, but I don't see it selling like WiiFit in the long run.

Whatever this game is, it will be over hyped, just as Fable 2 was, which was a good game, but waaaayy too over hyped. I just don't trust Molyneux, he's basically the same as Dyack, except his games are a bit better.

I think he just meant that he was genuinely looking forward to playing the game. I mean he could have said Gears of War, doesn't really mean it's coming to PS3.

Very true, hopefully there are some good announcements. Sony is already ahead of MS and Nintendo in terms of quality upcoming games, but I still wouldn't mind seeing some more.

It says MS needed to do this (FOR THE CONSUMER), because the Elite no longer has any value over the Pro. Because you are paying $100 for just 60GB of extra HDD space, whereas previously it also offered a HDMI port which was brought to the Pro anyway.

@2.4 - 5 hours speed run is pretty good I have to say. I got down to 3 hours 15 min on my MGS speed run. Still haven't done that on MGS4, it doesn't feel like the type of game you would want to speed run.
@1.6 - I see what you mean, and I agree, if I were that age I probably would also have done the same. But when the 360 was released, I had patience and bought the PS3 at launch instead of getting the 360 first. Why? Because I knew the PS3 would eventually get fantastic exclusives, and Sony has never let me down with PS1, PS2 and PSP.
