Wow, PS3 actually saw an increase. Possibly Xbox 360 owners in Japan buying a PS3 because of FF13?
@beans - True, better is my opinion, but it is an opinion shared by many other people in the world. But more, is not an opinion, it is a fact.
These are all of the PS3 exclusives I can think of that are confirmed retail releases in 2010 (doesn't mean I like all of these):
-MAG
-White Knight Chronicles
-Heavy Rain
-The Last Rebellion
-God of War 3
-Yakuza 3
-3D Dot Game Heroes
-ModNation Racers (Beta is soooo fun)
-Gran ...
This is one of the crappiest articles I've ever read on IGN. I mean seriously, WTF? Nobody asked for this guys life story, and seems like he talks in question:
"Did I do blah blah blah? Was this blah blah blah?"
You bought a PS3 because of the undeniably better and more exclusives. Simple as that. Don't go on a rant about how FF13 going to 360 felt wrong and how it tore you up inside, stop blabbering like an idiot.
Despite the fact that I don't really like Home, it is still very active whenever I actually launch it.
Also Sodium One is surprisingly good and addictive, if I had no games, I'd definitely be playing that whenever I had the chance. But I don't like how MS is doing a "me too" with this, they should just use the money to make more exclusives.
Although people say that PSN is behind XBL, it shows that MS knows that Home is a big innovation for consoles, and the...
@patriots - Don't worry, you won't have to. MAG costs $40, because it is an online only game, which is possible on PS3 because online play is free. For example on 360, because online play isn't free, companies wouldn't make online only games, and always have a campaign.
Standard PR babble, I'm just going to ignore it until I see something I want to play, with my own eyes.
As far as I know, God of War has always been published by Capcom in Japan.
@above - Dude are you a spambot or something
Halo 3 was the most overhyped game of the decade. I know a lot of people say Killzone 2, but actually, if you compare both games, Halo 3 was overhyped like hell.
Halo 3 was still a good game, though the campaign was kinda average, it was still fun. The main downside was the graphics. On the other hand, Killzone 2 had great graphics, a very good campaign, and a decent online mode. Also Killzone 2 was hyped as a graphical powerhouse, which it delivered.
Everyone, inc...
Looks pretty much the same. The game is good, not great. Reminds me of Prototype/Overlord/God of War.
Prototype - Because of the environment
Overlord - Character design and movement
God of War - Most of the gameplay elements
Still a good game though, a LOT better than I expected.
Wonder how much PS3 sold this week in Japan. Was about 100k last week, so I'd be surprised if it's still over 100k
I'm kinda surprised that FF13 sales are still over 100k. Every analyst only expects the game to sell 1.9 million MAXIMUM in Japan, but it looks like it's going to hit 2 million at least.
The PS3 is doomed...to be a success. :)
So what this says to me, is that the graphics of Natal games will now suffer because of the removal of this chip. Obviously this will make the camera cheaper, but in every way, this is NOT a good thing for gamers. Especially for those that are looking forward to Natal (not me).
Seriously, GET IT! This is the best game I've played on PSP, and I hate SRPGs usually. Hope they make a sequel/similar game.
@nogolis - inFAMOUS, whilst it didn't look too great graphically, it still was better than a PS2 game. But, if you didn't already know, inFAMOUS was originally being made for PS2, and then they began to port it halfway through development for PS3.
So, although it is not graphically amazing, it still is one of the best games I've played this gen.
@evrfighter - Just like all ignorance, you take that quote out of context. First of all it was "Next gen starts with us," secondly, Sony said this because they didn't have a console out to compete with Microsoft's Xbox 360.
What did you want them to say? Xbox 360 is awesome, don't wait for a PS3?
This is nowhere near Turn 10, and pretty much everything Greenburg says.
Well until we see the game, I don't doubt them. Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 are clearly head and shoulders above anything that is available on the Xbox 360. The only people who would argue against that are people that don't have a PS3 and haven't played the games.
Not had the chance to check this demo out yet, might get it later.
Thief, by far, has the best stealth mechanics over both Splinter Cell and MGS. Can't wait for this game.
