@Xiphos - LOL that is so true. Natal is the next attempt to try and get more casual gamers on to Xbox, and it may work. I can see maybe one hardcore game coming out at launch, but there won't be many.
There will be a fitness game, a sports game, a shooting game, the 3D breakout game and loads of other casual apps.
I will say though that if Capcom ruins Onimusha (if this is Onimusha they are talking about) with Natal, then I will never forgive them. I've been waiting ...
I voted for "Dude I'm from Europe, Screw Twisted Metal, we hate that crap over here!" and I really mean it. LOL. I don't see what people see in Twisted Metal, I much prefer God of War from Jaffe's games. So I'd rather see a good new IP than Twisted Metal, but I know a lot of people (mainly American gamers) like the game so I can live without playing it. There's already quite a lot of great games coming out.
@1.10 - Damn you are a massive fanboy, not playing Uncharted 2 is like not playing Gears of War and then dissing it. The most childish games this gen are shooters like Gears, COD and Halo. Every time you play them, you realize that there millions of kids playing the games online.
And God of War is one of the best series EVER, a lot of Xbox only owners last gen are now complaining that they didn't buy a PS2 for God of war 1 & 2 when it released, and they just now had a chance ...
@1.8 - Well I'm not attacking FFXIII or you, I'm just saying that this guy is entitled to his opinion. Some people won't like the game, of course they may hope for Versus to be better, because maybe they prefer Nomura's games.
I'll give the game a chance myself, I haven't played an FF game that was completely bad, so even if FF13 isn't as good as a certain FF doesn't bother me. The score is still very respectable, if it was 4/10 like that Hong Kong one, then I'd probably agree wi...
This sounds good:
"Fully stealthy gameplay is now possible."
It's so annoying having to kill everything because they automatically see you when you go into the perimeter.
I used to get a little bit of frameskipping during the battle sequences in Halo 3, so hopefully they've optimized the game further, seen as they said it can handle double the amount of AI.
As long as it's better than FFX-2, then it should be fine, because FFX-2 is the worst FF I've ever played, and it was still OK.
@above - Really? You really think that every website would give the game a low score because it isn't exclusive? I don't know what world you live in dude, but in my world, people play games and decide whether or not they like them.
That's like one of those people that says Prototype is better than inFAMOUS, simply because it is available on ...
This guy is not a good writer, so it was kinda a pain to read through this at some points. He makes some valid reasons, but as he said himself, he is biased because he wants to add to his gamerscore. Which is why he doesn't think the PSN online is good and why he thinks Achievements are better.
I'm sorry but, Achievements are not better than trophies, achievements represent a number, no skill. Whereas if I see someone with 97 Platinum trophies, then I can see that he/she is a gre...
@chrisnick - NPD is used by Sony, MS and Nintendo when they announce their numbers. This is one of the reasons way they are considered credible, they also have a proven track record with their numbers, and don't just track gaming related stuff, but pretty much everything retail.
In all honesty it should be, and probably will be, Splinter Cell that sells more copies. Why? Because firstly it is a sequel to an established franchise, and secondly because it is a traditional, standard game, whereas Heavy Rain is a completely different style of game.
I will enjoy playing both games, as I'm a fan of the Splinter Cell series, and Heavy Rain is amazing from what I've played.
Well I personally didn't mind the ps3's price tag when it was released. I mean if you look at it, the price is what made the console so good, and is why we are now getting some of the best games EVER made.
A LOT of people said "Sony shouldn't have included Blu-Ray in PS3, it would have been cheaper to make then," but Blu-Ray is the main reason that the console has the best games and is considered more future proof than any previous console. Now those people who used to...
@vhero - True, but imo every region matters. So if someone is doing well in NA, they should get more Western devs on their side, and it should be the same for Japanese devs if a console sells more in Japan. As long as PS3 sells well in NA, then it should mean more games for PS3.
@fanboys that dissed God of War - The Day of Reckoning is at hand...repent and thou shalt be saved.
In The End There Will Be Only Chaos.
Man am I glad I have a PS3 to play this game:)
FeelPlus were one of the main devs behind LO, so it should be fine.
Lol, this is a completely no nonsense article, and has a lot of valid points. As long as Sony don't charge for online play, then I don't mind a premium service. At least that way I'm not forced to pay, and can decide to pay by looking at the extra features that are made available.
Some of the features that were listed in that survey looked really good, e.g. Free PS1 Classics! That one alone has me interested in paying for a service that I never thought I'd be paying for.
Was that...it? Of course it would overwrite everything, you expected it to merge together or something?
I wouldn't be surprised if it is a small PSN/XBL title either, either way I will look forward to it because Insomniac make great games.
I have a feeling they will make a multiplat game, but Resistance and Ratchet will stay exclusive
I don't really care about sales, as in it doesn't affect what game is good or not to me. I only care about the devs selling a decent amount so they can make a sequel to a good game.
What is a decent amount? 1 million-2 million, depending on the game. inFAMOUS is one of the best games I've played this gen and has sold just over 1 million. Enough for me.
@Hisiru - Woah that looks awesome, I remember seeing a very old trailer, and this definitely looks better than that. Obviously this is the PC version, because it looks too good, but there seem to be some frame skipping issues when the person is playing.
Other than that, the game looks like Fallout but with better graphics, which means it has potential to be a great game imo.
@randomwiz - Last time I opened up my 360, I saw a lot of free space, a lot more than when I opened up my PS3 60GB. The PS3 has everything very tightly packed every component on the PCB is tiny/flat, on the Xbox 360 it is like a PC motherboard, with loads of capacitors, that could easily be replaced. There's also a lot of room next to the heatsinks, you could literally fit an entire hand span in there (if you chopped your hand off :p).
So I'd think it is a lot easier for Microsof...
