Well done IGN, you just managed to piss off an entire country. JRPGs do not need to become more like WRPGs, they just need to continue doing what they are doing, with a good story. I don't want all RPGs to be like Fallout 3, although Fallout 3 was a great game.
Variety = Choice. Not everyone likes WRPGs, not everyone likes JRPGs, some people like both. Please don't make all RPGs the same.

It's not really a sequel-able game, I do think though that Quantic should try and make a franchise, that way they would be guaranteed a certain amount of sales for the sequel and won't have to market the game as a brand new title every time. You know, to build up a fanbase.

It's not a really bad RPG, imo Infinite Undiscovery is worse, it just had some problems with framerate on then 360 version. The main reason most people won't like it is that there is too much reliance on chance, you can't choose the exact attack you want to do, and everything seems to happen randomly.
Also the battles are very long, some took over an hour to complete, and then would continue directly on to another battle. Quite ridiculous, but still I did finish the game, because...
Wow, quite a noticeable difference. Will have to think about upgrading soon, but I probably will upgrade my whole computer when I need to. My 9600GT is good enough for most games at the moment.
@1.28 - I don't like GTA4, though I don't like any GTA game personally, but GTA4 was one of the worst. The only one I played for a long time is San Andreas, and I even got bored of that quickly.

I'm sure the game will be great, and I guarantee that this is not the last perfect score for Mass Effect 2, I just don't like it when people overhype games by making articles, about a review score (and not just leaving it at the actual review itself)....

The online portion of this game is getting me more and more excited. I just dismissed it when it was released in Japan, I thought "I'll just do the main story and forget the online, it will be crap," but the more I hear about the online quests, the better they sound.
Level-5 always make great games, so I hope this lives up to my expectations!
@above - I have a 360 ready and waiting to play Mass Effect 2, because ME1 was one of the first few games I played when I got my 360 a few years ago and still is one of the best games I've played. I just don't like overhype, and unnecessary stories like this. It will just start a trend of "X-website gives X-game 3rd 10/10" stories.

Wow 12 disagrees for stating the truth, just another day at N4G :). I didn't even say ME2 was a bad game (my most anticipated game right now!), but it's obvious N4PS3G and his multiple accounts attacked me there for attacking his blog.
Haven't seen many trophy hacks personally, but I agree with 1.5, those chain messages are so annoying. And it's ridiculous that people are THAT stupid to pass it on, makes you want to delete people off your friends list.
