This goes to show that that gaming fraternity as well as the overall sponsorships are improving gradually, which should in turn promote gaming (I hope). Who can now say that gaming cannot be claimed as a valid eSport? Perhaps this will drive other gamers to excel as well.
I hate it when games claim to be f2p but require you to either pay for a "full" version or to buy coins in the game so that you can continue playing. Its why I don't really enjoy mobile games at the moment. I know that any other legitimate game requires a purchase, but they don't advertise f2p only for you to have to pay.
Now we need to find the cure for cancer. Lets go.
Finally maybe now I can delete my UK account
brilliant writing Mr. Moosa (as always). I have just received my copy and will be seeing this as much through your eyes as my own. Nice.
What the heck next, seriously
Plants vs Zombies 2 ftw
For me it has been great to have experienced the CoD franchise over the years. I truly enjoyed COD4MW like so many others did, so when Black Ops, World at War, MW3, and Black Ops 2 were released I always had a great deal of expectation which delivered some moments of "Amaze-Balls" but never quite piqued like COD4MW did. From the recent trailers, in game actions on youtube etc, I can see that some great changes are coming, and I once again find myself overly excited. I hope that this...
Logitech has grown in leaps and bounds over the past few years, and they continue to produce some cost effective and quality products.
Looking forward to this, already have the first DLC
I am downloading this game as I write this, I kid you not.
I agree with you Han, I believe that the MSSA and SAESA should rather work closely together to adopt a unique approach and governance of eSports within South Africa. I suppose healthy competition is always encouraged, as long as this isn't two organisations slinging negative comments about each other. I hope this will grow the expansive community to be greater rather than break it down.
I like the graphic novel concept that was Max Payne before it was hashed into a movie. This will be an anticipated hit imho.
A nice addition to the game. I like the fact you can assign a clan and even play vs AI that improves as the game goes on, and even when not in multiplayer you still earn valuable XP. This will help weaker players improve somewhat when playing either multiplayer on its own or in a clannie. I like it, and I look forward to it.
I think that everything we experience somehow affects certain aspects of our lives, whether it be studying, or acting, or writing. Somewhere, something will impact on us, because humans evolve, our tastes change and we shift thoughts and opinions. Gaming is nothing more than a medium we use that can easily be construed to any shape or form we want it to, even for propaganda (just as music and movies have been for so long). Nice write up.
I am a huge fan of Leisure Suit Larry, one of the coolest cats out there.
Awesome indeed, well done on the article.
Pretty much what I expected after Heavy Rain and its reviews when it was launched. I enjoy a thought provoking game, however this seems more on an interaction from a movie script than something associated with gaming. None the less, that's what makes gaming what it is, different people exploring different facets of gaming rather than the A typical version and context for it. Nicely done.
of course if we are talking about 5-10 years, i don't see why mobile wont make huge leaps into gaming, as they have done over the past 10 years. the amount of processing power in mobile devices now already handle the same amount of information and data that a laptop or pc can (albeit with more performance restrictions of course). how it will integrate into the lives of mainstream and hardcore gamers, only time will tell.
I hope that the impact intended can be reached, although I think its our current generation that needs to play this game and be taught these rules, as it may be too late by the time our kids are old enough to make the correct decisions.
