Yeah, it's just a question of whether it's worthwhile.
Quite right. I'm just worried about how it's going to impact the freedom you had in Crysis. It was far from open world, but... I think it's going to be more difficult with a real city.
I still can't help but laugh when I see CliffyB referred to as Dude Huge.
Bulletstorm's looking awfully good though, from this preview. I just hope there's good reason to do these awesome things to people and try to get style points, rather than just bragging rights, or they'll probably get old quite fast...
Finally got around to playing this recently, and yeah, this trailer looks good :)
Really? That seems... kind of a fundamental part of the game. To the extent that it was the main selling point, at least. Surprising. I wonder if they previously just had the powers on, but less developed - no stealth, but you had speed, strength, and armour perpetually on?
Setting armour to a different mode was very, very clever though. It made you horrifyingly vulnerable when not using it, but using the other suit abilities required you to switch away from it.
Okay, I'm intrigued. Certainly high production values for an Arcade game, but then there are some truly stonking things on there. Battlefield 1943, anyone?
Gah. I want to play as every single class in this game.
Hopefully they'll get this sorted before I get home tonight. Most of my PC gametime is spent with EA stuff right now, albeit not Battlefield :/
'coz it's a rubbish system. It works but it has problems, and devs are still trying to find ways around it. Note the constant improvements WoW keeps making to stop people getting stuck looking for a priest for two hours.
There are other ways around it, as Jeff notes, but a lot of them lead to problems of their own...
Huzzah!
Out of interest has anyone played this on both PC and consoles? I'm just wondering which has the better multiplayer community. It's fun enough on my console of choice, but I've always loved the PC scene and I always found PC gamers more my sort of crowd...
Finally, some details on the actual game. Before now all I've heard is talk on the tech, and the megatextures or whatever they're called. This actually sounds quite good.
Kinda bored of waiting to find out what this is now. I just hope it's not going to be a disappointment; I'm expecting something pretty outlandish after what they said.
Or maybe THAT'S the sort of thing I shouldn't be expecting...
Indeed. It's not something that's going to happen right away, but it's important enough that the political types will hopefully do something about it. It's a huge industry and it's rapidly growing.
I'm rather digging the looks of that. The art seems a lot cleaner than the WoW I remember, too, though I haven't played it in awhile.
Still, I want to see what relevance all of this has before I say anything more. I wanna see the enemies, the layouts, how these tie into the quests, etc etc. Hard to judge whether an instance is going to be fun or not without those :)
Okay, I'm excited. Wasn't that amazed by this before but... this sounds great. When's it out?
Gonna grab me one of them :)
Don't suppose anyone reading this works for Blizzard and would like to make a new friend? I could do with seeing Cataclysm :p
I always do this - although usually just to see if I can. I actually try to come up with someone that doesn't look like genitalia after messing about for awhile :p
This isn't looking good. I do not want to pay fees for this.
As collector's editions go that's honestly not that bad. I'd pay that, if I really wanted it.
