So they had the netcode to cope with playing against foreign countries on the first Starcraft, but not the second? Is there really THAT much extra information being sent in the sequel? Because I find that hard to believe, particularly when every other RTS on the planet doesn't try to restrict you from playing against people on other continents.
Utter rubbish. And I guess this spells exactly the same thing for everything else using Battle.net, too.
Really looking forward to this. The first game was great, and it sounds like Crackdown 2 is going to fix what few problems there were with the original :)
Man, those presentation improvements sound amazing. I never got into the first game as I didn't have too much time to get into it, and it felt a little overcomplicated for the few rounds I played, but this sounds like it's got a load of what I really want from sports games - personality. I'm going to have to consider picking this up.
Not necessarily. If a free-to-play dev knows what their limits, that can make something incredibly finely crafted without overstretching themselves. Compare with companies that release gargantuan MMOs which reach for the stars but are buggy, laggy, and frankly seem unfinished...
Nice. Sadly, I don't HAVE an early copy, but still.
Heh. It's all about running around as a Medic, trying to kill people with defib paddles, for me.
Wow. Those fluid dynamics actually sound really impressive. Can see that really changing the way the game plays, depending on how much of a gimmick it comes across as.
This sounds incredible. I think this is going to be well worth it.
...because if you don't pay attention to the competition it can be kinda hard to know how to compete, and to know what people want?
Admittedly, it's possible you'll go a totally unique route if you actually just strike out on your own rather than paying attention to what others are doing, and I wish more developers would do that, but if you're after the mass market then it's kinda important.
These screens are doing anything *but* quenching my thirst for this game.
God, I love these guys.
Fully agreed. WoW's starting to do something similar now, isn't it?
That's what I'm after. Skate 2 was great but it had some annoyances, particularly with the whole "pay money to free up ramps" thing. This sounds like they've taken the criticism on board.
Okay, I'm rolling one of them. Female, specifically. I just know everyone else is going to do the same thing, so I'll do it a few months after launch :|
Sounds like it's all coming together nicely. Looking forward to this.
Good. Medal of Honor looks great, and all, but it's a first-person shooter. This stuff is *crucial* no matter what else it does.
I really wish sites would stop using scores. It's a side point to this, but it's true. While you'd still end up with people nitpicking the review, if there really are no factual inaccuracies and it's a well-written review then that's the best they can do and it'll promote discussion. Right now, you have people who read the score and then go back through the review to find things they disagree with. They then post about that. Vehemently.

Breach really does sound interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing how Six Days goes, too...
Spetsnaz please. Please, please, please. Tell me it wouldn't be worth it just for the Behind The Scenes videos.
This is possibly because Blizzard has more money than God, and has never let anyone or anything rush them. They take their time, and it shows with the games.
