Guild Wars 2 is looking very, very nice, but I'm still a bit wary. I had problems with some of the core concepts of the first game, and never got into it that deeply.
Bets on how long it'll take before the Lich King is downed? Two days? Three?
Yeah, she should come back when she has a few at 80. I mean, pfft.
All good points, but it's still a movie based on a game. There've been some okay game-movie conversions, but no genuinely great ones, and... I dunno. I guess we'll see. I don't want to get my hopes up :(
Looking pretty cool. Has AoC been fixed enough to be worth playing yet, then?
Absolutely looooving the art style. Looks gorgeous in motion, too...
Damn. I might have to add this to the list of games to pick up. Just a shame an underadvertised title like this is coming out at one of the busiest times of year, though admittedly, early next year is looking just as busy...
I think they need to go a new direction. I loved Allied Assault more than I did the PSX games, but Call of Duty pretty much has the "big setpiece" combat sewn up. If they want to compete, they need to make it really special.
If they actually fix this and make it good, then I'm all for it. If not...
True, but Old Republic's looking awfully good...
All true, though not surprising. Knowing what the competition is up to is an important part of working in any genre, particularly one as fast-moving as MMORPGs.
Much as I don't normally get into viral campaigns, this actually all looks like stuff that will appear in the game. Thumbs up.
True, but PC hits do still happen. The audience is there - it's just a matter of taking advantage of it.
At some point, sure, everything will likely work on consoles. Maybe someone will work out a good control method for RTS games, or perhaps USB keyboard and mice will become popularised. With the PC being free to develop for, though, I think it's going to lead the way in terms of innovation, as it generally does. Indie games on Xbox be damned - it's much harder to create a fanta...
Good stuff. Always glad to see developers taking PCs seriously.
Eh, harsh but fair. For better or worse, it's Serious Sam, but prettier.
Proper melee combat? I wasn't expecting that. Not sure how it'll function if you're a Predator against, say, five Aliens, though...
Yeah, it really is all about Modern Warfare this month, annoyingly. Not that it's bad, but there's so much else. Poor Pandemic :/
And here was me thinking it was going to be all about Fisher being chased by Third Echelon...
It's all you need, really, isn't it? :)
Sucks about the multiplayer client. That's kind of a problem in a multiplayer-focused game, sadly.
