The difference between Xbox Series S/X & PS5.
Xbox has Gamepass, and it's entire back catalogue of Xbox One games can be played on the Series S/X. More so, the Series Xboxes improve those experiences, with higher frame rates and resolution.

What MS should do is build a PC with standard off the shelf hardware, bung a modified version of Windows on there and put an Xbox sticker on the side.

I also got an 'extra life' from a parasite I picked up (I'm still talking about Returnal here), which was pretty lucky.
I used it and my main life up on the first mini-boss in Biome 1.
I think mid-tier visuals is a little incorrect, the particle effects are fantastic, and the speed it all moves at is very fast.
Its certainly fair that's for sure.

It's just amusing that for some reason an article about FPS boost on Xbox somehow pivots to the lack of a save on Returnal and then to how great quick resume is.
It kind of feels almost like you have to justify the fact you can't play Returnal at the moment but you are happy that you have quick resume on you Xbox, because then you could use that.

Not quite sure why there's a comparison to 'playing Dark Souls to relax' seeing as they are totally different games with entirely different pacing.
He might as well say he plays Pac-man to relax.
Its to prevent save-scumming I guess, which spoils the whole point of rogue-like games really.
Bottom line, if you can't handle rogue-like games then perhaps don't buy Returnal.
But if you fancy seeing what new gen can do at the moment and want to feel a blast of exhilaration when playing then give it a go.
The feeling online is the game is very good, if hard.
If it's a hit then they deserve Sony to buy them up and add them to their studio portfolio.
I remember when people used to refer to them as 'Crapcom'.
