PS5 games ported to PC = money for old rope.
No point dividing the sales base on day 1 (or even year 1,2) when there's lots of potential buyers and hardware buyers who might pick the game up on PS5 in that time, until the sales drop off big time. Then get the PC port out for a second round.
I would expect Spider-man 2 to arrive on PC, but not until 2025 at the earliest (assuming it's not delayed on PS5 this year).
I stuck with 360 all the way through (i worked through 3 of them in the end, and one RROD repair), whilst my friends were playing The Last of Us, GT6, Puppeteer and all the other titles that came out in the end of gen push that Sony did, while the 360 games seemed to pretty much dry up in that last year in particular.
However I held out thinking MS were holding out to give the Xbone the big launch, which as we all know now was a massive disappointment - especially compared ...
Day 1!!
Well Phil Spencer says (quote from video interview with Kinda Funny Games)
"There is no world where Starfield is an 11 out of 10 and people start selling their PS5s," he said. "That's not going to happen."
So if Phil Spencer says so then it must be true!
Struck me as odd that he was more concerned there about Playstation owners decreasing rather then Xbox owners increasing though - I'm sure he has all the consoles (fo...
Maybe defeatist Phil Spencer might take note how well a great game can do.
I'm pretty sure that alot of people have also bought Switch to specifically play it if they didn't have one already. A system seller if ever I've seen one.
I've just noticed (unless I missed it) that no wag has called the game 'Redfail'.
Surely someone must have come up with it.
Redfail - good enough for Gamepass!! Subscribe today!
And all from Spanish sites too.
I guess the MS brown envelopes have started arriving in Spain now.
Seems to be the MS brown envelopes have started arriving in Spain.
To quote
"Finally, Xbox has been able to offer exclusive games from Bethesda handheld almost two years after acquiring them. With games like Hi-Fi Rush, Redfall and Starfield during this 2023 we could undoubtedly say that it is the year of Xbox."
Stay classy, somosxbox.
Looking through the complete desperate hype, Starfield has 7/10 written all over it.
It is not going to be generation defining, it's just similar to what we've seen before (NMS, Elite Dangerous to name but 2).
It'll be alright but it'll be riddled with bugs day one.
Sort of game that makes you want to buy a Switch to play it.
Spencer take note.
Classic Phil Spencer quote to keep fanboys salivating.
Want to engage Japanese studios etc. Keep waiting to see what happens etc.
More fluff and hot air, repeatedly!
Is it Redfall 2?
How can Hellblade 2 solve Phil Spencer?
Lawyers rubbing their hands with glee.
Just to get a couple of facts re confirmed, CMA is independent of UK government and as far as I know has never changed it's decision on appeal. I don't think they really work that way (not like US law where I think everything can be appealed and appealed again and again until eternity).
How Xbox lost the console wars?
General Spencer waved the white flag after sending everyone 'over the top'.
More disingenious nonsense excuses from Spencer.
When PS3 was being trounced by 360, Sony took the big decision to push first class games, hit after hit. PS3 overtook 360 in the final straight after being behind almost the entire generation.
Digital libraries? I gave up my LARGE Rock Band library on Xbox to get a PS4 and continue gaming on there as frankly the Xbone was rubbish.
But then Xbone also introduced backwards compatibility, something th...
Redfall, good enough for Gamepass.
PC gamers are always angry about something.
Well, as long as it's 'good enough for Gamepass'....
