BUT i simply shut off the ps3, deleted the install file and reinstalled it and things have been fine ever since. Basically the fix rockstar stated worked like a charm. I don't see what the big deal was.
Oh and I have a 60gb ps3 too.

It's when you have crap like this that things start to get a tad bit ridiculous... 400% zoom??? Is it that big of a deal? I personally think the ps3 version looked a bit better already but why 400%??? I think 300 would have been fine.
I don't want to take one side, but those comparison videos are straight whack. I most definitely call bullshit on it because I work at gamestop and we had the pleasure of playing both side by side and the Ps3 version DOES NOT look like that. Hell it doesn't even look like that on my own TV.

In reality it's no big deal, but if I had to put my two cents in then i'd say the 360 version will sell more then the ps3 version, but the ps3 will get more hardware sales worldwide because of GTA. Nothing surprising, but I don't know why i'm even saying anything anyway because i'm not getting the game opening day anyway.

Shane from EGM said in the podcast that at one point it became a race to see who could beat the game the fastest and they almost all took the full 3 days. Edge came in first and IGN second or something and if they were racing through the game ON TOP of playing constantly then you can expect the game to be longer then 9 hours.

I call bullshit on this one until we actually see it. As much as i'm excited for Haze and talking it up to all my friends I still don't want to believe this to ultimately be let down.
If true it'll be great to experience some of the no loading, streaming level design plus 4 player co op and 2 player local online co op sooner then the slated release date.
But I really don't give a crap about the so called "war" anymore. It just seems so trivial at this point when you look at it all from the perspective of someone that isn't as hardcore gamer as he once was, but still enjoys reading the latest news.

Actually EB/Gamestop are most likely hoping that gamers BRING BACK haze in one week.
Reason is that the flyer says you get store credit meaning no matter what, your money is already spent and it's just a matter of buying Haze or something else. On top of that EB will be able to stockpile a bunch of used hazes which in turn mean more potential sales of their game informer 10% off used games edge card.
Nevertheless if this is true i'll simply wait for the used copy so ...
Well i'm actually more surprised about Yakuza selling well simply because the game takes place in Japans history books. It doesn't make a lot of sense that the typical gamer would want to play a historical looking piece similar to how we all kind of avoid world war 2 shooters nowadays and barely touch the history channels civil war series.
The reviewer basically stated that the six axis motion controls are used in this game and in a good way.
"One control scheme that really blew me away was the reload option of quickly lifting and lowering the controller. It just feels right."
That actually does sound right. Kind of like aiming a guncon away from the screen to reload in all the arcade shooters of old.
I personally have a lot of faith in Guerilla Games and have confidence in killzone 2 more so then any other game coming out for the ps3.
One reason why is because they were able to improve a whole lot from killzone 1 to killzone liberation. They went from having a relatively unpolished title with pop in and lack of a solid online infrastructure to a psp continuation that addressed every problem that fans of the original had.

Anyway as much as we'd all love to see another GTA title every 2 years, i can with confidence say that EA is no Insomniac and i doubt they could innovate and improve every other year like insomniac has shown so far with the ps3.

When people say the next gen xbox will have a blu ray drive it's possible it might. Just don't expect it to have the same one in the current playstation 3.
I'm sure the R&D department at sony and now toshiba (laughs) are working on blu ray drives with faster read times so load times would increase without using various tricks and installations.
So if the next xbox did in fact have a blu ray drive it would most likely be an improved one.

But I was never a huge fan of the GTA series anyway to really care too much about whether or not ps3 or 360 users get this or that type of DLC anyway.
The reasoning? It's always just seemed like a huge list of mini games disguised in the form of a satire of the real world. Sure it's a nice chill out game, but the shooting mechanics, fighting mechanics, and even driving mechanics just don't match up to those in other games that specialize in them.

This might be the game that's gonna get into peoples hands by word of mouth about the amazing multi player and tech features.
Who doesn't love 4 player online drop in and out campaign co op? What about zero load times and a consistent journey throughout the campaign?

One is just a game studio that would basically only give them money in their gaming division while Yahoo would allow them to save billions in advertising and marketing.
They could use Yahoo in many ways to make money for the entire company rather then just one small division that doesn't really make as much money as the others anyway.
Actually this was a great interview. The minigun is most likely great for defending bases because it pretty much is a portable turret, but the fact that they're already adjusting weapons for balance is great too. What if things become like rock, paper, scissors where each weapon has a weapon that it's weak or strong against. It'll make for an interesting dynamic.
