I couldnt agree more! In SOCOM people actually were interested in tactical, competitive competition. team work was a must and most players knew that and played accordingly.

Nowadays, I find that Battlefield 3 and 4 have a somewhat similar community, although it's sort of a 60/40 split, as there are still plenty of trolls in BF games.

static, if you loved SOCOM 1, 2, and 3, you should completely avoid SOCOM 4. It was such a departure from the SOCOM series that it will make you cry with all of its running and gunning and explosions and lame attempt at a dramatic story line.

Looks cool, now my mouth is watering for classic SOCOM action!!

Please don't let H-Hour become a casual-friendly run-and-gun explosion fest like Socom 4 was!

Aww.. man, I can remember spending HOURS on the each mission in the old SOCOM games 1, 2, and 3 on ps2. I would meticulously crawl around the maps, ordering my team into tactical posiotions for recon and stealth ambushes. Remember how cool it was to wear the ps2 headset and issue squad commands thr...

The girl depicted on the cover of GTA V is standing upright, appears sober, and is not fleeing from a drunk driving wreck or a trendy Malibu addict recovery center--CLEARLY this is NOT Lindsey Lohan.

So wait a minute - let me get this straight:

All of N4G was up in arms over the Xb1 Kinect Camera "spying on them in their living rooms" and selling their souls, against their will, to advertising companies... but you are all okay, with WILLINGLY broadcasting yourself via your PS4 on a twich stream right? Do you not think advertisers are keen to that? Do you really think those broadcasts go unchecked?

Any chance to troll right?

Let's not feed them.. bubble vote for 'trolling' and move on

@ Soc - yeah that's how I interpreted it also..

Spencer - "I want to be able to learn from what we put in," Spencer said. "So let's make sure we are crafting the game and the analytics so we can see what the consumers--the gamers--like and don't--if you assume buying habits are a reflection of what people like. So that we can craft the experience better for the gamer."

So basically, if gamers REALLY speak with their wallet and ...

I agree with you, Septic. Niether company is perfect. And Microtransactions aren't something that MS invented, nor did Sony... But both have games on the system that use microtransactions.
Why has nobody mentioned how big of a role Publishers play in the microtransaction game?? EA, Activision, Capcom... and more recently, Take Two with GTA V. And I also noticed nobody's been complaining about having to PAY to play online now with PSN.

Don't get frust...

Yeah, no WalMart for ElementX ... He's probably too busy trying to win that Ebay bid on the $95,000 ps4 package that will allegedly be delivered in a limo.

sure, might put a 'satire' tag...

but don't you think its more fun to scroll through the comments and laugh at all the tards that thought it was serious?

Of course it's satire!! It's The Onion-have you never heard of them before? If not, check out their website and lookup some of their printed publications. They are a completely satyrical news agency and their stuff is hilarious!

"Doesn't anyone in their boardroom realize that players will just move on to more compelling games instead?"

This!!!!^^^^^^^^

And that's just it. I was loving GTA Online, despite the lack of heists, etc. But with each passing update they've nerfed payouts to the point where it's just a grind. You're totally correct about the boardroom thing - those chumps don't understand that online play and ranking up and earning and un...

...is where they blew it.
The game is fun, the missions are fun, the races, deathmatches are fun, but there are no "dopamine" rewards. No incentive to keep playing.

We all like to rag on CoD, but the multiplayer gets it right because it tends to make people so addicted because of the incentive to keep unlocking and earning in-game content. Lets face it, CoD gets the dopamine reward thing right. Love it or Hate it, what keeps people playing is the obse...

Lykon, too bad you didn't read the article. Nothing about this is a 'troll' review.

Also, to remind you 7.7 is a pretty good score.

Flunkin, I'm sorry man. I know I ripped into you like a big giant jerk.

Sometimes I do get my G-string in a twist because I come here to share my passion with Gaming with others (after all, I'm 33 years old, and I only know a small group of adults that share my passion to the extent that i do). I just get all crazy and fired up when I go into a comments section after reading an article and nobody is really discussing the articel, but rather crapping on others for th...

Okay flukinmonkey, here i am replying to you. Not in a direct message, so what. First off, I don't have a "separate account".. HAHA that's rediculous. Do you think I spend my life on N4G and seriously are that desparate to one-up people?? No. But I love games and I love talking about games, and to be totally honest, trolls and fanboys get in the way of rational and interesting discussion.

End of discussion. We are now completely off topic and are probabl...

I Serously cannot even begin to imagine the graphical beauty and gameplay that ND will push this out with. Alongside Rockstar, I think they have truly pushed out their best material and come into their own with this generation of consoles.

I can just imagine scaling the sidewalls and turrets of an old mossy castle overlooking the side of a grassy cliffs and rolling hillside in glorious next gen graphics, Or Uncharted's seamless hand-to-hand combat gameplay at 60 FPS!! <...

LETHARGIC!? Not sure what you mean by that, but the demand for the console here in the US where I live is at an all time high. Right now at launch it is impossible to get a ps4 if you didn;t pre-order one. There's definitley demand.

If by "lethargic" you are referring to some of the day one hiccups the console has been reported to have, I don't think it's that big of a deal. No high tech product launches without some bugs and things to iron out. As l...

"MMA fighters, muay thai fighters, etc. can have insane amounts of respect for opponents while pummeling the crap out of each other in the ring. Why is it so hard to believe that the Sony and Microsoft higher ups could also have sincere respect for each other as well?"

The difference is that the actual competitors usually have the utmost of respect for each other... its mostly the fans that don't have any class

Before you talk about FANBOYISM at its worst, lets have a look at a few of your recent douchbaggy comments, shall we?:
