This is not a download is going to beat everyone moment this is a look at how digital distribution may be able to get close to physical formats for people moment. Even with fast internat games are getting bigger as are demos who wouldn't like the option to start playing earlier? If this company has trouble due to marketing the tech will be bought by someone with a consumer base and used as a differentiating factor between them and otherwise equal competition.
The difference is also due to an increased reliance on graphics in adventure games at the expense of puzzles and writing. There's also the writing element in itself. Anyone written something as funny as Monkey Island recently? I'm asking because I want to play a game with funny writing and can't think of anything bar the few laughs in Ratchet & Clank Future.

Is it not possible that much of the money was to ensure that it was released on both platforms at the same time? How many conversations do you think there were where people talked about getting a PS3 to play GTA IV and someone else saying that they could save hundreds by getting an XBox to play it on instead. Without some of the big exclusives 'defecting' there were swathes of people for whom an XBox wasn't even an option. Fifty million bought access to many of those people.

Believing that people only conform to a social code because of religion is simplistic. There is no evidence to suggest that people who don't follow a religion don't adhere to the mainstays of what is acceptable in society at large.
Religion also stops us looking for answers to our questions as we can just say that everything we don't know about is due to the will or action of the divine.
