Check out the delays for GTA games too. There are loads of other big name titles which take their time to get to Japan from all the big companies. I'd list a few but the ones that come to mind are all for the 360 and I don't want to seem biased.

I would say the kill x many people or play x many maps or level up to x level and such trophies are OK. They show people who play a game online a lot and are basically incidental. The only other ones I like are the ones which are created to make you try a technique that the Devs think people won't use otherwise even if it's pretty good. How about he fact that the main bonus is the online. People keep talking about the fact that everyone has a headset and talks to each other on Live and how PSN is quiet by comparison. If we take this at face value we can see a problem for the XBox in Japan.

Incidentally I have anecdotal evidence that the PS3 is selling out at some retailers. Note I did say anecdotal and the sample size was not too high.
