I finally got around to playing the X360 demo this morning, and I was truely disappointed.
It felts so clunky and sluggish. You have to stand still to shoot, then move to somewhere else, the stand to shoot again.
The aiming is really bad as well, with the slightest move of the analogue stick moving the red laser sight miles from where you want it.
The inventory panel again is really clunky, and basicly crap.
With games like Gears of...
....spill the beans! Here are the ones I want to know the release date for.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 (plus the inevitable PSN / Arcade port of BG&E1)
I Am Alive
Assassin's Creed 2
Splinter Cell: Conviction
Rainbow Six: Blar blar blar
Ghost Recon 3
Rayman Rabbids for PS3 & X360
Prince of Persia 2
Hopefully something pops up soon!
and before I get flamed, for the record I loved God of War 1 & 2 on the PS2.
The game will be excellent if the past games are to go for, but graphically...not spectacular.
It looks very pretty, but after Sony pushing out that CGI teaser trailer a few months back, I thought that was an indication of what to except graphically, like the Killzone 2 trailer was to the actual game, which was very close.
This though just looks like a prettier versi...
50mb from Virgin is a big fat waste.
I've been on a 20mb service for around 2 years, and I've never had problems with the amount I download. The downloads are unlimited....but what miffs me off is that they throttle the speed after around 4-5gb of downloads.
So after downloading 4-5gb worth of content from Xbox Live, PSN, Internet, Music, Movie Steaming etc it goes from 20mb to around 4-5mb, and this is all day except for a few hours in the early hours of the mo...
Why does this qualify for news!?
the whole attraction to the MK Series are the fatalities.
I can remember getting my copy of MK2 on the SNES when I was a kid, with my guide book with all the moves and fatalities in there, trying them all out, just to see all the gore, decapitations and other gory deaths being roles out by the MK Characters.
After watching this video, MK has lost all of that substance that made it a MK game. No blood, no gory fatalities...what's the point?
All th...
I also got accepted for the NXE Dashboard, and I am impressed. It is a huge improvement on the old dashboard.
Everything looks pretty and shiny. The Avatars are fun also.
It's the little things that count though. When you get an invite from a friend, on the old dashboard you get the message 'BLARBLAR has sent you an invite', whereas now on the new Dashboard it actually states the game they are playing.
So no longer will I have to check to see what...
Very impressive!
The demo has 2 levels, Apartment and Subway as previously mentioned. You can play with 3 AI Bots as your team, or you can play 4 player co-op with either 3 friends, or search online for 3 other people!
Overall, very impressive. The number of Zombies on screen is superb, very creepy, and you can see how the co-op aspect will play in the game with saving team-mates, healing etc etc
I wasn't really bothered about Left 4 Dead, but now....
Well I wasn't disappointed. This was one of my top anticipated games of the year, beating Gears 2 and Fallout 3, just because of the originality and the look of the game.
Even though the demo was short (which I thought it would be), I thought is was beautiful to look at, with bright bold colours, something we rarely see in our 'Next Gen' games now (normally lots of browns, greys and blacks).
The controls were very tight and responsive, although I'm sure it will...
More than likely a guy with a pirate copy.
Unfortunatly, MS won't ban him/her because they can't tell if it's an original retail disc or a copied disc due to the firmware being used on the drive.
Unless they go around to this person's house and ask to see the actual disc, they can't do anything about it by Law. Shame!
I personally wouldn't mind if these glitches popped up for just 1 or 2 gamers only, but there are thousands of people out there who are experiencing these problems, so it's got to be obvious to the developers that they are there.
The problem is that everyone has been so accepting of updates to games that have had slight little problems, that developers think it is ok to just update later, and over time the glitches have gotten badder and badder that they are making the game un...
Unfortunatly, although MS can see who is playing the game early, right at the moment before the game is officialy released, they can't actually ban them, and this is the stores fault.
MS can't tell which game is an original disc and a copied disc due to the updated firmware that the pirates are using. If stores continue to leak the games early, how can MS ban everyone, when certain people actually legally bought a copy from a store early.
When a game is sold in ...
This is a really bad week for developers, a great week for Pirating scum Xbox 360 owners.
First an early review copy of Fallout 3 pops up, then Farcry 2...and now Fable 2 (The 3 F's)
Surely MS can track back where these copies are being sold from. Sooner or later they will go the way the PC is going with the DRM crap, and hit gamers where it hurts. All the contraversy the PC gamers are sturring up with the DRM protection will eventually happen with Consoles if pe...
I was wondering if to buy this as these types of games look great (like Alone in the Dark) and play like a piece of crap.
Excellent news that this isn't the case for Dead Space, which I will definatly be buying on Day one.
Do a majority of people wait to buy pre-owned games!? They can't afford the titles brand new.
Drop the price of the games, and more than likely people will by an original copy first time.
I'd prefer to buy the game brand new than a second hand copy!
A huge majority of tommorow's UK newspapers (Sat Edition) will have this story in them.
Us Brits can have a joke about anything over a quick period of time, but there are always people out there who will be shocked about this.
You never know, maybe the person who kidnapped Maddie is a Halo 3 fan, and after seeing this may return her. Bungie saves the day! Doubtful, but stranger things happen!
It's a Halo 3 Single Player Add-on pack, probably the Halo Mythic thing.
There are 6 new skulls in the new achievements, something I find weird putting into Multiplayer Maps.
6 new skulls in single player Maps makes sence.
The trailer is set in the city of New Mombosa (in the trailer), and it's clearly based around Halo 3, hence the title at the end.
Looks like we are getting new missions to play!! WOO HOO!!
[UPDATE] ...
Everyone you know WANTS one, so why haven't they got one!? More than likely it's because of the price. If they could afford one, and WANT one, they'd have one!
The discs (in the UK) cost around £20 - £35 in a store. HMV is a perfect example of how high the Blu-Ray prices are.
Like I said before, I'm all for Blu-Ray. The quality is awesome, but for it to take off big time, they need to drop the prices of there movies, just like they did with DVD.
...
is that Blu-Ray is still way too expensive for the common folk!
Players are expensive, so normal working families can't afford a player or PS3. When they actually own one, the actual movies are expensive. Now £20 a movie doesn't sound to expensive to some people, but a family with 3 kids, a mortgage, bills, car etc would rather pay £10 for a movie from Tesco than the Blu-Ray version which can range from £20-£25.
Plus add the credit crunch th...
Graphically, the game is truely outstanding. Booting the game up, and watching the intro sequence to the game, and then witnessing the game jump into the actual game with no difference in graphics, it a exceptional feet by the developers.
The Sound is spot on, the atmosphere of the game makes you feel like your in a war.....BUT!
The controls are poor. Instead of giving the gamer the option to pick the controls they want, they give you options, none of them offeri...
