It sounded like a Robot was dragging you back somewhere, maybe those one of those holding hands robot that been shown around the net in ASCII files over the past few days.
Portal 1 was a complete surprise to me, and is truly brilliant. I can't wait to find out more info on Portal 2, as it definatly seems that Valve are pointing towards that with all the changes and secret files released in the PC update of Portal.
Shame there's no news on Half Life 2 - Episode 3 tho...
Yep, I know that, but a majority of games on the PS3 and Xbox (Gears of War, God of War, Heavy Rain, Final Fantasy 13, Metal Gear 4), have cut scenes that match the graphically quality of actual game, something that the Wii can't imitate with what Metroid M is showing in that CGI intro.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not cussing the game or the Wii, I own and love all 3 consoles (X360, PS3 & Wii), but I rather have a game show me actual ingame footage for the cutscenes than CGI th...
It's a shame that the actual game will not look that good.
All of that intro was CGI, and although the game will most definatly play really well, it's a shame that the graphical engine won't match that CGI intro, due to the lack of Wii processing power.
I'm looking forward to it though.
I think a demo can definatly sell a game, but a demo can also wreck a games chances of selling.
I think Bionic Commando was a perfect example. There was a little bit of excitement revolving around BC, with solid pre-orders, but when the demo was released, and people played it...it went straight into the bargain bin.
All of the Mass Effect games will eventually arrive on the PS3, but my guess is that it will be when or may be slightly after Mass Effect 3 is released.
If you look at the X360 box of Mass Effect 1, it has the 'Only on Xbox 360' stamp at the top, even though it was out on the PC at the same time. Mass Effect 2 however doesn't have that stamp. So they are either keeping there options open or are definatly planning a PS3 release.
Hopefully PS3 owners get ME at som...
I think that next month, MS will creep back infront, just because of all the banning of modders they've done over the past month.
Over 1 million banned. Even if 50% of those buy another console, that should be enough to push it back in front.
I'd say the X360 versions looks better, but somehow I don't think those pics do justice to the PS3 version.
I've read that the game looks identical on both consoles, so I'm calling Shinanigans on those pics.
If your buying MW2, buy it for the console you own (Obviously), and if you own both the X360 & PS3, buy it for the console that you play online the most with. Simple!
backwards compatability.
A lot of people say they don't play there old PS2 games now, but there are a lot of people out there who do, including me.
The good thing now is that many classic PS2 games are really cheap from trade store, car boots, etc.
I recently picked up Yakuza 1 & 2 for £10 ($16-$17), and can't wait to try them out, but I have to drag my PS2 out and hook it up on the floor, when my PS3 could save me from doing that and hav...
Netflix is not available in the UK on both the X360 and PS3.
I'd love a service like Netflix in the UK, and although Sky is offered on the X360 now, and BBC iPlayer on the PS3, it nowhere near offers what Netflix does in the states.
Personally, I think the X360 offers a better online gaming package, especially when it comes to communication during a game, which is sometimes vital to the game your playing.
As for games themselves, Sony is definatly,...
All this Facebook, Last FM etc crap can take a running walk, including Sky.
What I want as a UK resident, is something that matches Netflix in the USA. MS say that Sky will offer that, but somehow I don't think it will.
MS need to make a deal with LoveFilm, which is basically the same as Netflix, and get us on-demand movies when we want them.
Am I the only one who thinks this?
to play Panzar Dragoon Saga on any of the major 3 consoles.
I missed out on many Sega Saturn games, as at the time like many people, was playing on the PlayStation.
PD Saga, Guardian Heroes and Burning Rangers are the ones I'd love to play.
I would buy a Saturn and the games of Ebay, but although the console can go for around £10-£20, a copy of PD Saga could cost around £150-£200, with GH and BR around £80-£100. Way ...
Out of all of this, Courtney Love is the main person to blame. She signed over his likeness to Activision and Neversoft, and left them to it. Obviously she never checked the game out before it shipped, or asked the right questions. A simple question of 'Will Kurt be singing just his own songs or others artists as well', will of sorted this problem out before it even started. She said she loves him still, yet didn't go out of her way to protect his image?
Just look at Yoko Ono. ...
that Nintendo and the game producers actually make any money, with a huge number of R4 and other related 'Copy' cards out in the world.
It's cheaper to buy a R4 card, with a 1gb card than buy an original game. Then you can download the game for free off the internet.
I'm also suprised that Nintendo let this happen. It's not just Torrent sites you can download these roms from, there are actual dedicated rom sites with FULL compilations of games ever available on ...
December 2010.
Square have pulled this kind of crap off since Final Fantasy 7, releasing in Japan 1st, then US, then 6 months later in Europe.
Why not release it everywhere worldwide at the same time??
Batman: AA in there!
(SPOILERS) When you get sprayed by Scarecrow for the 3rd time, the game 'Crashes'. Now this is scary when your a X360 owner like myself, as I thought my X360 mess up for the 4th time, but it's all the game, and it plays the opening sequence again, but as Batman in Joker's place, and Joker in Batman's place. Then it plays on in an alternate universe, to when you get shot, and then the game over screen. Continue, and Batman rises from the grave!
with Sean, that more than likely Uncharted 2 will get Game of the Year, even with Modern Warfare 2 on it's tail. Although, I wouldn't rule of Scribblenauts on the DS, which is a game that is totally unique!
Don't get me wrong, Batman: Arkham Asylam is superb, and definatly one of the best comic book games ever made, which is a rarity to this type of genre of game, but GOTY? Nahhhh.
It could of been a completly different story if some of the bigger titles (Biosho...
somehow I think Activison are becoming the new 'EA'.
What is the point of putting COD on the DS? It's just not powerful enough to compete with what everyone expects.
This game proves that Activison are out to make as much money from the COD IP as possible, no matter what the quality of the game is, and unfortunatly, there are going to be people out there that fall into that trap!
Shame on you Activison.
Epic did this with Gears of War 2 and the 'Flashback Map Pack', and no one moaned about that?
I really want Monkey Island 2 over everything else. It's still one of my all time favourites.
I would like to see Grim Fandango ported over though. It's a game that I missed out on, and I've heard soooooo many good things about it!
Killzone 3, Twisted Metal 3 etc.....GIVE ME PARAPPA THE RAPPER 3!!!
