I don't think this is going to be sorted anytime soon.
I'll be waiting for the player that plays both, because at least then I can have the best of both worlds, and get the pick of movies on both formats.
This game looks gorgeous, just sucks that it's not being released until 2008.
Yet another reason, along with MGS4 to hold out until the end of the year to purchase a PS3 when the big titles like Heavenly Sword and Lair start to get released.
Until then Mass Effect, Bioshock and Half-Life 2 Set will keep me going!!
JasonHenry - The Half-Life 2 package for the X360 and the PS3 is going to be awesome, just for the sheer content available in it. The problem that the PS3 has though is that HL2 in not out until next year, whereas the X360 get's it this year in Oct/Nov, still giving gamers a good month or two to enjoy Halo 3, which many game will disagree with you that it's mediocre, but it's all about personal taste!

Remember this is not Gears of War. This is HALO 3!! This is the last part of a trilogy, an already known project.
Gears and Resistance was new to everybody, so Gears against Resistance was a perfect match.
Halo 3 against Killzone would be suicide for Sony, because all Sony have to go on at the moment is a 3 minute trailer and a PS2 original that wasn't that good, whereas Halo 3 has 2 successful games before it, a beta currently running for MP, and lots of media, ...

Sound biased I know, but I can't see any game being released this year that could counter the sales that Halo 3 is going to rack up!
I've never understood why Microsoft or Sony didn't buy Take-Two when they had the chance a few months ago when they nearly went bust!
Just the exclusivness of GTA4 for that company console would have an effect on there competitors sales.
Eitherway, I'm sure Take-Two will want to get GTA4 out as quickly as possible to make some dough to keep they above water!
Capcom will be shooting themselves in the foot if they release RE5 exclusivly on the PS3.
They have sold millions of copies of Lost Planet and Dead Rising on the X360, and they've done well in Japan as well.

"Home" does look promising, but for me anyway, I just want to play online games, not create living areas and walk around virutal chat rooms. If I wanted to do that, I'd use my PC and get Second Life. I'm sure theres other people who feel the same!
Home will be free, which is good, but my bets is that once released, people will be moaning about all the Microtransactions that Sony will be charging for content, because those charges are what will pay for the service!

If I was a Sony Fanboy I'd be signing a petition to make sure MGS4 stays a PS3 exclusive! Rumors and more rumours keep spilling out that it will at some point arrive on the X360, which if it does, will put further damage to the PS3.

What you have seen is a really small small part that is Halo 3. What is going to sell Halo 3 is the single player, and from what the VidDocs have hinted at, and some media that has come out, the single player is going to be EPIC.

I think the reason why Crackdown is up there is because of the major messup that MS/Bungie made when the Halo 3 Beta download messup happened on the Thursday the beta was due out!
I'm guessing that MS servers logs down the number of times the game is booted up, not the number of times the game is played on live, hence why Guitar Hero 2 is up there which doesn't have online features!
So add the number of times people booted up Crackdown to try to download the beta...
I must be coming on this site at the wrong times, because everytime I've jumped onto this site, I've seen at least 2-3 new articals about Halo 3 ranging from Halo 3 Vs. Comparisons, Halo 3 news (4 player Co-op, Custom play workaround) etc.
Halo 3 is massive. 174,000 games played in the last 24 hours, multiply that by ten days the beta has been out that's 1,740,000 games played! 19,500 individual people who have played in the last 24 hours. All for a 3 map beta! That's big!!
Even though E3 has been scaled down, it's still going to be the big showcase of games for this year!!
DJ has a point about MS going first giving Sony the advantage of an extra day to prepare, but Sony have to have a better presentation than they had last year, which even if your a Sony Fanboy have to agree was a major disappointment, especially after the strong presentation they had in 2005 with the KillZone trailer!
Now if they showcase Killzone that is playable...
Halo 3 will come and sell Millions of copies and probably break the record that Halo 2 already holds (I think it's the most sold game over a weekend or something like that, please correct me if I'm wrong).
New titles like Heavenly Sword, Lair etc will sell plenty but I think are not well establised francise yet to get that massive word of mouth to sell massive amounts to match what Halo 3 will sell (6 million pre-orders already!)

I honestly can't see this happening.
I own a X360 and not purchasing a PS3 until the end of the year (so I'm not a fanboy!), but somehow I can't see EA or Ubisoft going the way of making there games Exclusive to one console.
It's not the 100,000 that will make there decision, it will be the millions already in homes!
The only company I can see doing something like this is Capcom, because although Capcom is a big company, it's not got the money to...
It's going to be exactly the same as the X360 and PC versions. No graphical updates! Read it first before making silly comments like that!!
It sucks ass though for PS3 owners. Why do ports like HL2, Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell etc take soo long to get to the PS3 compared to the 360??
That's why I'm sticking with my X360 at the moment and holding back on the PS3 until the must have titles arrive like MGS4, Lair, Heavenly Sword etc!
If there is a winner at the end of this mess, it's going to be the one who releases a player at a reasonable price that people can afford.
The stand-alone players for both formats are around £500 at the moment ($800-$900 US??).
