I played the game at PAX. It looked good, it did not look gorgeous.
Also, I want screenshots of where Anya is shooting steroids.
Nothing on the Unreal Engine will blow me away. The last time an Unreal Engine game on consoles blew me away visually was in 2006. Games on it look good most of the time, but they never look amazing.
Also listing Halo: CE remake is a bit presumptuous. There are no gameplay videos out along with HD screen shots of gameplay to look at. I'm sure that MS will make it look good, but there is no certainty as to whether or not it will "blow you away".

What hype? There aren't any trailers being released, and the only bit of gameplay shown is what was done at PAX and I think it was shown in Europe.
You can't take it's long development cycle as an indication of quality. Perhaps there is a reason they couldn't come up with something worth putting on shelves for all those years, and that reason is never good.

It is cheaper and easier for the average consumer to get their 360 flashed, and pirate games than it will be for the PS3. I wouldn't be surprised if this is intentional and planned. The release of Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 is around the corner and this gets people talking about Mass Effect. The more people that are excited to play ME3 at the end of this year, the more people that will be interested in ME2. This is the internet, and info spreads. Putting this up on Gaff, is a great way to get lots of people to spread it(as seen in the linked article.)

EA has been doing this for years. Games that don't keep selling, or don't spur the sales of new games get their online removed. Since this mainly effects sports games it doesn't really matter to me, but this is one of the big reasons why online trophies/achievements are terrible. While EA aren't the only ones who do this, they do it the most due to their sports games being annualized. This is them saying, "Stop playing the old game, and buy the new one."

They released very little information about it. There hasn't been a playable preview of the game available for the press/consumer. There aren't any videos of gameplay. Too many nonsense reveal trailers have made me jaded about the reveals. They give you a small fraction of knowledge that says nothing meaningful about the game, they almost never show gameplay footage. The only definitive thing you can say about the trailers is, "this game exists, is in active development, and will come out sometime in the future."
